The Film Society of Lincoln Center Announces 50 Years of the New York Film Festival Lineup

The Film Society of Lincoln Center's year-long countdown to the New York Film Festival's historic 50th edition continues this spring, offering the rare opportunity to view several undisputed classics of the big screen, many of which were introduced to the world at NYFF. These include breakthrough films from the 1990s by Zhang Yimou, Gus Van Sant, Jane Campion and more. A special appearance will be made by director/editor Steve James at the Hoop Dreams screening on Tuesday, June 5.

HBO has released two sneak peek videos for the upcoming fifth season of its supernatural thriller, TRUE BLOOD. While no official premiere date for the upcoming season has been announced, it is expected the new season will begin airing all new episodes this summer.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the nation's lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organization, today announced it will honor film and television producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Chicago, Hairspray, Smash), writer and producer Shonda Rhimes (Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal), financial services company Wells Fargo and Facebook at the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards presented by Ketel One and Wells Fargo.

Ellen Barkin and Megan Hilty are among the expected guests at the 23rd GLAAD Media Awards, while producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan will be honored with the Vito Russo Award. Other expected guests at the New York awards include Kim Cattrall, Tracey Gold, Cory Monteith, Jay Manuel, and Dakota Fanning, with performances from the Radio City Rockettes, corey Craig and Whitney Day. The Los Angeles awards will feature Ellen DeGeneres, Fran Dresher, Anna Paquin and Betty White.

HBO has released a teaser for Season 5 of its supernatural thriller, TRUE BLOOD. While there is no acutal footage in the teaser, the network promises that something is coming from 'deep below'! No official premiere date for the upcoming season has been announced.
Lonergan's MARGARET Released Today

Margaret, written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan, will finally get a theatrical release on September 30. It originally was scheduled for release in 2007 by Fox Searchlight, but was continuously delayed while Lonergan struggled to create a final cut he was satisfied with, resulting in multiple court cases. The movie stars Anna Paquin and Matt Damon.

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards were last night, September 18. Executive-produced by Mark Burnett, the 63RD PRIMETIME EMMY® AWARDS were hosted by GLEE's Jane Lynch, who kicked the night off with a fabulous production number choreographed by Marguerite Derricks. Titled 'TV is a Vast Wonderland,' the song was written by Adam Schlesinger and David Javerbaum, who also wrote the opening number from this year's Tony Awards and Broadway's CRY BABY.

Denis O'Hare Talks TRUE BLOOD Return

TEEN CHOICE 2011 will celebrate the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion in the choicest, star-studded two-hour event airing live Sunday, Aug. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' leads the TEEN CHOICE 2011 nominees with 12 nominations, and GLEE has nine nominations. In addition, 'The Vampire Diaries' has seven nominations, while 'The Hangover Part II,' Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez each earned six nominations.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Broadway veteran Katherine Helmond is set to guest star on HBO's 'True Blood' in the fourth season. Helmond will play Caroline Bellefleur in two episodes.
