Yesterday, May 23, the company of Godspell celebrated their Academy Award-winning writer Stephen Schwartz in a one-night-only concert featuring songs from Schwartz's Pippin, Wicked, The Baker's Wife, The Magic Show, Working, My Son Pinocchio, Children of Eden, Rags, "Pocahontas", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "The Prince of Egypt", "Enchanted" and more. Yesterday, May 23, the company of Godspell celebrated their Academy Award-winning writer Stephen Schwartz in a one-night-only concert featuring songs from Schwartz's Pippin, Wicked, The Baker's Wife, The Magic Show, Working, My Son Pinocchio, Children of Eden, Rags, "Pocahontas", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "The Prince of Egypt", "Enchanted" and more. The concert benefits Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the event and brings you photo coverage below.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the revival of GODSPELL on Broadway, despite a lack of Tony nominations, will make an appearance on the 2012 broadcast to perform a selection from the musical. At this time, there is no official word or confirmation on who, or what the cast will be performing.

Hollywood-turned-Broadway actress Anna Maria Perez de Tagle's "Godspell" co-stars, showbiz friends, and fans turned out in full force at her recent benefit concert held on board the Hornblower Hybrid, which - aside from the audience enjoying De Tagle and her buddies' wide repertoire - treated the crowd to breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

GODSPELL stars Corbin Bleu, George Salazar, Wallace Smith, Nick Blaemire, and Eric Michael Krop; Tony winner Lea Salonga; and Filipino TV, film actor and recording artist Sam Milby walked the red carpet on Monday night to show support to mutual friend and fellow artist Anna Maria Perez de Tagle in her pursuit to raise additional funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Earlier this morning, stage and screen stars Kristin Chenoweth & Jim Parsons announced this year's Tony nominees from the New York Public Library. In a season as rich as this past theatrical season though, there are only so many spots for nominees and some very talented shows and performers were not nominated. Below are the eligible performers and shows who were not nominatined in the major categories.

Hundreds of hopeful actors, ages 6 to 16, showed up at the Circle in the Square Theatre today, April 25, to audition for the Broadway musical GODSPELL. The audition panel, including director Daniel Goldstein, is looking to fill 10 roles in the show. About 300 kids, including Holly Block, Gaten Matarazzo and Ellis Gage, who are featured in the video below, performed 16 measures of music for the panel.
