On Monday, October 26, 2009, Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Ken Arthur, Producing Director), a leading not-for-profit professional theatre will honor Kathleen Chalfant, Mike Moynihan and Patricia Velasquez with the Lee Salk 'Goodworks' Award at its annual awards dinner and gala. The event begins at 6pm at The Pierre in midtown Manhattan, with cocktails and silent auction followed by dinner, awards, and live entertainment.
Songwriter/performer Amanda Green, best known as a Larson Award winner and lyricist for the Broadway musical High Fidelity, will make a special concert appearance at Feinstein's at Loews Regency on November 1st. Green will be joined by Broadway veterans Jenn Coella, Ann Harada, Norm Lewis, and more.

Feinstein's at the Loews Regency has announced additions to its fall calendar and the acts include headline engagements by Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski (October 6-17), Tony winners Victoria Clark and Ted Sperling (October 20-24), Mary Cleere Haran (October 29-31, November 5-7), Maude Maggart (November 10-14), and Ronan Tynan (November 27-28).

'Salon 2009' will be presented Nov. 2 at the residence of Ron Pobuda on Central Park South. The evening, the fourth annual in the 'Salon' series, will be comprised of songs and stories and will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
On Monday, September 14th, The National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO) will present a one-night-only all Asian-American performance of Terrence McNally's LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION!, directed by Alan Muraoka, at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) to benefit NAATCO. Joe Mantello, the original director of LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION! and Stephen Bogardus, a member of the play's original cast, were honorary chairs for the NAATCO benefit performance.
VENUE Q, the Tony Award-winning musical that has delighted and surprised theatergoers since it first arrived on Broadway in 2003, had another surprise in store when the musical's producers announced from the stage at the conclusion of the show's final Broadway performance at theJohn Golden Theatre (252 W. 45 St.) on September 13, 2009 that AVENUE Q will, in fact, move to a new address in the Times Square neighborhood and begin performances on October 9 at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.). After 6 years on Broadway the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q will play its final performance today, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th, 2009. It will have played 2,534 performances and 22 previews, surpassing THE PRODUCERS (on August, 17th), ANNIE, OKLAHOMA!, and PIPPIN, among many others to become the 20th longest running show in Broadway history.
