Southampton African American Museum will present 'Raise Your Voice', the 9th Annual African-American Film Festival for four days October 2 to 5. The celebration of the artistry of African-American filmmakers, actors, personalities, musicians and performers will feature a powerful line-up of critically acclaimed, thought- provoking feature films, documentaries, shorts, jazz and spoken word.

Bad Hindu in association with East 4th Street and Off-Chance Productions has announced Rise and Shine [I Thought I Was White], written and performed by Anil Kumar for a limited engagement at the Let Live Theatre @ The Actors Company. Directed by Reena Dutt, Rise and Shine opens tonight, September 13 at 8pm. The show will run through October 12 only.

The Colony Theatre will present the second production of its historic 40th Anniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of WHAT I LEARNED IN PARIS by Pearl Cleage. The production stars Tony winner L. Scott Caldwell, and is directed by Saundra McClain. WHAT I LEARNED IN PARIS will preview tonight, September 3; Thursday, September 4; and Friday, September 5 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, September 6 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, October 5 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street in Burbank.
