On Friday, May 31 at Carnegie Hall, actress and arts advocate Sarah Jessica Parker and fashion designer Zac Posen will share the spotlight with the talented teens who received national honors in the 90 th annual Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. More than 800 teens from 47 states, along with their families and teachers, are expected to attend the celebration. There, 15 graduating seniors will receive Portfolio Gold Medals, the Awards' highest honor, which includes a $10,000 scholarship. For the first time in the Awards' 90-year history, the ceremony will be webcast live so people across the nation can share in the celebration.

The Pop maverick's genius lies in the way that he both captured the spirit of his time and uncannily prefigured the image-saturated, celebrity-driven culture of the Internet age. The Winfield Gallery presents the exhibition LUMENIS- New Paintings of Tracey Adams. LUMENIS continues to explore Tracey Adams' fascination and ongoing interest in the areas where art and music intersect and overlap: gesture, line, color, space, pattern, etc. This series of paintings incorporates encaustic monotypes (pigmented beeswax printed on Japanese papers) which are then collaged on panels and glazed with many layers of acrylic, then covered with cold wax.

Updated and expanded from the original film version by the same name, the man affectionately known as "The Pope of Trash" presents this hilarious evening focusing on his early negative influences, fascination with true crime, exploitation films, fashion lunacy, extremes of the art world, Catholicism, sexual deviancy, and his love of reading. This is Waters' second visit to the Harris after his sold-out show in 2010.
