Roundabout Theatre Company will soon present the upcoming Off-Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine's Tony Award-winning Into the Woods, featuring the original McCarter Theatre Center/Fiasco Theater cast, including: Jessie Austrian as 'Baker's Wife,' Noah Brody as 'Lucinda, Wolf & Cinderella's Prince,' Paul L. Coffey as 'Mysterious Man,' Andy Grotelueschen as 'Milky White, Florinda & Rapunzel's Prince,'Liz Hayes as 'Cinderella's Stepmother & Jack's Mother,' Claire Karpen as 'Cinderella & Granny,'Jennifer Mudge as Witch,' Patrick Mulryan as 'Jack & Steward,' Ben Steinfeld as 'Baker' and Emily Young as 'Little Red Ridinghood & Rapunzel.' Casting Announced for Into The Woods

It is my pleasure to announce that the upcoming production of Into The Woods at the Laura Pels Theatre will feature the original McCarter Theatre Center/Fiasco Theater cast. These ten extraordinary actors are Jessie Austrian (Baker's Wife), Noah Brody (Lucinda/Wolf/Cinderella's Prince), Paul L. Coffey (Mysterious Man), Andy Grotelueschen (Milky White/Florinda/Rapunzel's Prince), Liz Hayes (Cinderella's Stepmother/Jack's Mother), Claire Karpen (Cinderella/Granny),Jennifer Mudge (Witch), Patrick Mulryan (Jack/Steward), Ben Steinfeld (Baker), and Emily Young (Little Red Ridinghood/Rapunzel). As you know, Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld (co-Artistic Directors, along with Jessie Austrian, of Fiasco Theater) are also directing this thrillingly imaginative iteration of the musical.

Fiasco Theater's INTO THE WOODS Extends Through August at The Old Globe

The Old Globe today announced additional performances for the second production of the 2014 Summer Season, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical Into the Woods, which made its World Premiere at The Old Globe in 1986. The production is an inventive reimagining by Fiasco Theater, directed by Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld, in a production that originated at McCarter Theatre Center. By popular demand, it will now play through Sunday, August 17. Tickets for the extension will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, July 29 at noon.

Michael Pennington, two-time Olivier Award nominee, an artist of international stature and one of England's greatest classical actors, will play the title role in William Shakespeare's tragedy King Lear directed by Arin Arbus. For the second production in Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural season at its first permanent home, the new Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place in Brooklyn, Mr. Pennington leads a company of 22 actors. King Lear begins previews March 14 for an opening March 27 and a run through May 4.
