Kate Baldwin and Conor Ryan, the stars of the Keen Company production of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics byTom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa, just headed to the recording studio to preserve the 2015 Off-Broadway Cast Recording for Broadway Records. A June 16th release is planned. Andrew Lippa and Michael Croiter will produce the album. Musical Director is Lily Lang. This recording will include the premiere of the new song, 'Trouble with Men,' as well as new orchestrations and two songs from the score never before recorded. The entire cast is now set for the special invitational presentation of Kurt Vonnegut's SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE, a new musical, today, April 7th at 3 PM at the Snapple Theater Center (50th Street at Broadway). Music for SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE is by Jed Feuer (THE BIG BANG, EATING RAOUL), with book & lyrics by Adele Ahronheim (THE WILD SWANS, THE CAPTAIN'S DAUGHTER). The presentation will be directed by Gabriel Barre (AMAZING GRACE, Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY, JOHN & JEN).
