BroadwayCon has announced that Ben Cameron, Veanne Cox, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Kyle Scatliffe, and Leigh Silverman have joined the Special Guest lineup for BroadwayCon 2018.

Monday night in NYC, at Le Poisson Rouge, Broadway Bound Kids scored an impressive success with their second Broadway Bee competition; hosted by Rebecca Feldman and Jay Reiss, creators of The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee. Check out photos from the event below!

On Monday, May 8 the Theater People podcast welcomes Tony Award winner Gabriel Ebert. Ebert is currently starring alongside Harvey Fierstein in the critically acclaimed gay history play Gently Down the Stream which was written by Martin Sherrman (BENT, THE BOY FROM OZ). Gently Down the Stream plays at the Martinson Theater at The Public Theater through May 21st.

The theatre world is abuzz about the Second Annual BROADWAY BEE on Monday, May 8th (at Le Poisson rouge in NYC). The fundraiser pits some of Broadway's brightest against each other in a high-spirited spelling bee, with eleven teams vying for the trophy.

Two River Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces An Evening on the Musical Frontier, a benefit performance featuring songs from musicals in development at Two River. Alec Baldwin is the Honorary Event Chair for the one-night special event on Friday, May 12, which will begin with a cocktail reception at 6pm.

The brand new musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) with music by Richard Oberacker and a book and lyrics byRobert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, opened last at The Bernard B. Broadway Bound Kids, a NYC performing arts education organization, will host its second annual BROADWAY BEE fundraiser on Monday, May 8, at 7pm at Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street, NYC). The Broadway Bee is an adults only spelling bee, featuring actors from current hit Broadway Shows. All proceeds go to provide performing arts opportunities for NYC youth.

Newsies forever, second to none! Disney Theatrical Productions, along with former Newsies cast members Jack Sippel, Tommy Bracco, Iain Young, and Jordan Samuels, have just announced that the live Fathom production of Newsies will be released digitally on May 23 in a special video below!
