The It Gets Better Project, created to show young LGBT people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach will present their 2012 A Better Holiday concert. The concert will be held on December 16 from 7-10PM at XL Nightclub in partnership with The Group Entertainment, and will raise funds for the Ali Forney Center (AFC), the nation's largest organization working on behalf of runaway and homeless LGBTQ youth; the AFC had a vital drop-in center destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in late October.

SILENCE! The Musical will end its-month run Sunday evening, December 30th at the Elektra Theatre. The production will have played a total of 447 performances and eight previews. Originally announced as a strictly limited engagement through August 13, 2011, SILENCE! was extended numerous times by popular demand and transferred theatres twice, ultimately landing at the new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square, which was constructed especially for the show. SILENCE! opened at Theatre 80 on July 9, 2011 to unanimous rave reviews and spawned a highly successful L.A. production starring Davis Gaines and Christine Lakin.

Last night, eight-time Grammy Award winner and 2009 Tony® Award nominee Dolly Parton, attended a performance of Newsies, the Tony® Award winning new American musical, and visited with the cast backstage afterwards. Parton attended with the show's director, Jeff Calhoun. Calhoun first worked with Parton when he was cast as a dancer in the 1982 film version of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and recently directed both the US and UK tours of her Broadway musical 9 to 5. Stop the Presses! From their home at the Nederlander Theater, the cast of NEWSIES performed 'King of New York' during yesterday's Macy's Parade CBS broadcast. For the first time ever, television audiences had the opportunity to see a number performed on the stage of the Nederlander, where NEWSIES plays to sold-out crowds.

Sam Rogers will be the new Dream Hannibal in Off-Broadway's smash hit SILENCE! The Musical beginning tomorrow, November 21st at the new Elektra Theatre in Times Square.

The cast of Newsies, the Tony® Award winning new American musical, will appear on the 2012 CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade, with a performance of "King of New York." For the first time ever, television audiences will have the opportunity to see a number performed on the stage of the Nederlander Theatre, where Newsies plays to sold-out crowds. The parade airs live on CBS, beginning at 9:00am, on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 22, 2012.
