The Peoples Improv Theater (The PIT) presents IMAGINE ALL THE PEOPLE: A Survey of Music Business Creeps, Feb 15-March 30, 2017, at the PIT Loft. This solo character show, written and performed by Eli James, is a decade-by-decade journey through the parade of unsung deplorables who inhabit the history of rock 'n' roll.

As previously announced, on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 7:30pm, Works & Process at the Guggenheim presents a discussion with Canadian writer duo Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Tony-nominated choreographer Kelly Devine, and Tony-nominated director Christopher Ashley on the creative process behind the new musical Come From Away, which will open on Broadway on March 12. Studio Tenn and Tennessee Performing Arts Center's joint venture to produce Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita in Nashville resulted in the production claiming the top prize as "Outstanding Musical of The Year" at Sunday's Midwinter's First Night event at The Larry Keeton Theatre. Nashville Repertory Theatre's production of Nate Eppler's original play Good Monsters took the title of "Outstanding Play of The Year" in the annual ceremony that dates back to its origins in 1989.

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's Pay What You Want Company, has announced the extension and re-opening of Urinetown: The Musical. With music by Mark Hollmann, lyrics by Hollmann and Greg Kotis, book by Kotis, musical direction by Gregory Nabours, and directed by Kari Hayter, the extended run will begin on Friday, January 6 at 8pm and continue through February 25 at the Historic Lankershim Arts Center.

Lyric Opera of Chicago announced today that film star Richard E. Grant and Broadway standout Lisa O'Hare will star as Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle in Lyric Opera's grand-scale production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's My Fair Lady, April 28-May 21, 2017 (press opening April 29).
