Celebrating its fifth birthday, Quintessence has created a world premiere adaptation of Dumas' epic adventure directed by Quintessence Artistic Director, Alexander Burns.

The classic play by William Gibson which focuses on the stormy relationship between Helen Keller and her governess Annie Sullivan is at The Media Theatre January 28-February 15. It's 'The Miracle Worker', which follows Media's new tradition of placing a classic play within its annual Broadway Series schedule.

Playwright Bruce Graham's Mr. Hart and Mr. Brown is the fictionalized story of an actual encounter between two historic men fleeing from their past in the early 1920's. A wildly entertaining play about the myth of the old West, good and evil, and freedom of the press, the story is set in Nebraska during the Prohibition era - a time where much of rural Nebraska still resembled the frontier depicted in the classic movies about the Old West.

Waterwell Launches Film Division, Premieres DAY TEN at Tribeca Today

Waterwell, one of the Village Voice's Best Arguments for Devised Theater and creators of Goodbar and #9, announces the official launching of its film division with the World Premier of the short film, Day Ten, at the 13th Annual Tribeca Film Festival. Day Ten, is written and directed by Arian Moayed and stars Omar Metwally.

The Hasty Pudding Institute of 1770 honored acclaimed Producer David Heyman last night as the 2014 recipient of the Order of the Golden Sphinx . The annual Order of the Golden Sphinx gala was held at the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City. Heyman's critically acclaimed box office hit Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuaron and starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney received 10 Academy Award nominations and won an outstanding seven Oscars. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey closes its 51st season with a sparkling and wintery new production of Shakespeare's Pericles. Performances begin December 4th and continue through December 29th at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. Individual tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the box office at 973-408-5600 or by visiting www.ShakespeareNJ.org. Performances are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Individual tickets range from $35 to $70; student rush tickets are available 30 minutes prior to curtain for $15.
