On January 3rd at 9:30pm, one of Broadway's favorite beltresses, Ellyn Marie Marsh debuts her new solo show, 'Ellyn Marie Marsh. Live! From Carnegie Hall' at Joe's Pub. If the title and the show's actual location are a little confusing, that's likely because the evening is subtitled 'A Night of Delusions of Grandeur.'
After two sold out shows (Ellyn Marie Marsh is: INAPPROPRIATE) at Feinstein's/54 Below last January, Ellyn brings her new show downtown to Joe's Pub, for a 9:30pm set.
On Tuesday, December 15, the Theater People Podcast welcome's Tony-nominee Norm Lewis, whose career on and off Broadway, in London's West End, and on the international concert circuit, spans nearly 25 years, and counting. He will be making his Feinstein's/54 Below debut with a holiday show running from December 20th to 24th at 9:30pm.
On Friday, December 11 the Theater People Podcast released a special bonus episode featuring the anonymous social media personality Annoying Actor Friend who earlier this week revealed himself to be Andrew Briedis.
Parody Twitter accounts can be a lot of things. They can be sarcastic (Condescending Wonka), they can make you think (Bored Elon Musk), they can be utterly ridiculous (not the real Bill Murray). The theatre community's favorite parody account, Annoying Actor Friend, has been all of those things at different times during its nearly three and a half year existence. The one constant for the character, whether it was brazenly flirting with the official SMASH account, championing causes important to theatre actors and fans, or shamelessly plugging its concerts and books, has been its anonymity. That is of course until yesterday when the account, followed by over 20,000 people, innocuously retweeted a link from a seemingly random blog by Andrew Briedis.
Following years of mystery surrounding the popular theater-themed Twitter account known as 'Annoying Actor Friend', Andrew Briedis has revealed himself to his fans.
Twice in January, KINKY BOOTS' Ellyn Marie Marsh sold out Broadway's Supper, Club 54 Below, with her one-of-a-kind solo show 'Inappropriate.'
