The Cleveland Orchestra has received a generous gift of $4.6 million from longtime patrons and supporters Myrna and Jim Spira.

The Cleveland Orchestra announced updates to its inaugural Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival: The American Dream, which takes place this spring at Severance Music Center and with Cleveland partner organizations.

The New York Philharmonic Very Young People's Concerts (VYPCs), for children ages 3 to 6, will continue Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and Monday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Merkin Concert Hall, 129 West 67th Street.

Allen Spanjer; violinist Lisa Kim; violist Rebecca Young; cellists Eric Bartlett, Maria Kitsopoulos, Sumire Kudo, Ru-Pei Yeh, and Wei Yu; and pianist William Wolfram (guest artist).
