The 62nd Annual Drama Desk Awards, hosted by Michael Urie, were held at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street) tonight, June 4th.

This afternoon, Broadway's brightest gathered at the Marriott Marquis Times Square to celebrate this years Drama League Awards nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award.

Several Drama Desk nominees met the press today at the New York Marriott Marquis Manhattan Ballroom and BroadwayWorld was there to capture the event.

Earlier this morning, Laura Benanti (She Loves Me, Gypsy) and Javier Muñoz (Hamilton, In the Heights) announced the nominations for the 62nd Annual Drama Desk Awards.

The Drama League has announced the 2017 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. Scroll down for the full list of nominees!

NYC's Public Artist in Residence Bryan Doerries and Theater of War Productions will bring together actors Reg E. Cathey and Amy Ryan alongside City Council Member Jumaane D. Williams (District 45) for a dramatic reading of Sophocles' Ajax, followed by an open discussion with veterans, members of Save our Streets (S.O.S), and the Brooklyn community to explore the searing impact of violence and war on individuals, families, young people, and communities.  Deputy Mayor Richard Buery and Tom Finkelpearl, Commissioner, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs will also be in attendance.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) presented its annual 2017 Spring Gala 'Act II: Setting the Stage for Roundabout's Future' last night, February 27,  in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria (301 Park Avenue, NYC). The evening honored legendary four-time Tony-winning stage and film actor Frank Langella with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre and Leonard Tow, Founder & Chairman of The Tow Foundation, with the Ovation Award for Excellence in Philanthropy.

The T. Schreiber Studio for Theatre & Film, one of the country's foremost professional actor training and performance programs, will celebrate its 48th Anniversary on Monday, March 27th, 2017. The event will also be in celebration of Terry Schreiber's 80th Year.

Producer Jordan Roth announced today that three incredible leading ladies will join Kevin Kline in the Broadway revival of Noel Coward's Present Laughter: Tony and Emmy Award nominee Kate Burton, Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen, and stage and screen star Cobie Smulders, in her Broadway debut. Additional news, including complete cast and creative team, will be announced shortly. Performances begin March 10, 2017 with an Opening night set for Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Richard Armitage might be known to millions of Tolkien fans as Thorin Oakenshield, but this autumn he left Middle-Earth far behind him to start a new adventure off-Broadway. The Hobbit trilogy star joins a small ensemble company (including Alex Hurt, Zoe Kazan, Ben Rosenfield and two-time Tony nominee Amy Ryan) for Roundabout Theatre Company's American premiere of Mike Bartlett's Love, Love Love.
