Broadway's high-flying, death-defying Tony Award winning hit musical Pippin is now in its final two weeks of performances at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street, NYC). The production will play its final show on Sunday, January 4, 2015 after 709 performances and 37 previews. Orchard Project's Expands, Moves to Saratoga Springs, NY

The Orchard Project, the eight-year-old program that has served as a starting place for major, award-winning shows that have debuted in theaters across the United States and world, is pulling up roots and transplanting itself to Saratoga Springs, NY this summer. In addition to continuing to serve as a laboratory for theater teams and companies, the Orchard Project will now be able to offer public performances, adding a theatrical component to the vibrant cultural life of Saratoga, which presently provides summer homes to the New York City Ballet, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, just announced the cast for Suzan-Lori Parks' epic Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3), directed by Jo Bonney, in a co-production with The Public Theater in New York. Performances run January 23 through March 1 at the Loeb Drama Center.

Earlier today it was announced that The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, will present the world premiere of Waitress- a new musical directed by Diane Paulus and featuring book by Jessie Nelson and music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. This wasn't the only big news from Nelson though. Nelson, who wrote, directed, and produced Corrina Corrina with Whoopi Golberg, is in the process of writing a musical version for Audra McDonald, with Alan Menken and Brian Yorkey. She is also co-writing Alice By Heart with Steven Sater, music by Duncan Sheik.
