American Repertory Theater to Stage New Play NICE FISH

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Director Diane Quinn, is pleased to present the new American play Nice Fish, conceived, written, and adapted by Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins, and directed by Claire van Kampen.

Tony winner Jessie Mueller is gearing up for her next Broadway role in Waitress, which opens on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). Waitress played a sold out limited engagement at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. Christian Conn and More to Lead Michael Kahn-Helmed THE METROMANIACS at The Old Globe; Cast Set!

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of THE METROMANIACS by supremely clever playwright David Ives (All in the Timing, Time Flies). This uproarious new 'translaptation' of a classic French farce, Alexis Piron's La Metromanie, will be directed by one of America's most renowned stage directors, Michael Kahn, presented in association with Shakespeare Theatre Company.

Baryshnikov Arts Center Stages World Premiere of Daniel Fish's WHO LEFT THIS FORK HERE This Weekend

Daniel Fish, the innovative director of theater, opera, and film, collaborates with designer Jim Findlay to create WHO LEFT THIS FORK HERE, a new interdisciplinary work inspired by the psychological and emotional themes of aging and mortality in Anton Chekhov's The Three Sisters. WHO LEFT THIS FORK HERE is set for four performances only, tonight, December 9, through Saturday, December 12, at 7:30pm at Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC)'s Howard Gilman Performance Space, 450 West 37th Street.

Cast Announced for East Coast Debut of Lynn Nottage's SWEAT at Arena Stage

The new drama Sweat by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage (Ruined; By The Way, Meet Vera Stark) comes to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater following a critically-acclaimed debut at Oregon Shakespeare Festival as part of a co-commission between the two theaters. Hailed by The New York Times as an 'extraordinarily moving drama' that 'brims with the kind of ripe, richly imagined life associated with the work of the great August Wilson,' the play is directed by Nottage's longtime collaborator Kate Whoriskey and runs January 15-February 21, 2016 in the Kreeger Theater.

WAITRESS Will Become First Broadway Musical with 4 Female Head Creatives; Lorin Latarro Joins as Choreographer!

Choreographer Lorin Latarro has joined the creative team for the Broadway production of Waitress.  With her addition, Waitress is the first Broadway musical in history where a traditional four person creative team of book writer, composer, choreographer and director have all been women.* Latarro replaces Chase Brock, who choreographed the pre-Broadway run at the A.R.T.

ONCE National Tour Comes to Duke Energy Center This Week

ONCE, winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will play the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts for a limited engagement from this week, December 1 - 6.
