Uptown Players Presents Regional Premiere of THE YOUNG MAN FROM ATLANTA, 4/1-17

Cleveland Play House Announces 2011-12 Season

24/6: A Jewish Theatre Company Presents A DOLL HOUSE 3/20

24/6: A Jewish Theater Company and New York's first one dedicated to Sabbath-observant artists, will present A DOLL HOUSE, a radically new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's world-renowned play directed by Ibsen scholar Yoni Oppenheim. The production will play on March 16th at 7:30 pm, March 20th at 9:30 pm and March 23rd at 7:30 pm. at The Tank, 354 West 45th Street (between 8th and 9th). Tickets can be purchased at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/producer/9726 or by calling Brown Paper Tickets at 1-800-838-3006. On the day of the show, tickets will be available for cash only at the door 30 minutes before the start time of the show.

NYTW/Playwrights Horizons Present THE SHAGGS: PHILOSOPHY OF THE WORLD

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director, Tim Sanford; Managing Director, Leslie Marcus) and New York Theatre Workshop (Artistic Director, James C. Nicola; Managing Director, William Russo) have announced complete casting and creative team for THE SHAGGS: PHILOSOPHY OF THE WORLD, a new musical with book by Joy Gregory; music by Gunnar Madsen; lyrics by Ms. Gregory and Mr. Madsen; and story by Ms. Gregory, Mr. Madsen and John Langs.

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre to Present VIETNAM PROJECT II, at West End Theatre beginning 3/18

Three years ago, Pan Asian Repertory Theatre made history when they presented their Vietnam Project, featuring the first professional production to be performed in Vietnamese on a New York stage. This spring, Pan Asian Repertory Theatre will continue their pioneering tradition of presenting bilingual productions with Vietnam Project II: Past and Present at the West End Theatre (263 W. 86th Street between Broadway & West End Avenue in the Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew, 2nd floor). The second edition series will offer two productions from Vietnamese-American playwrights: We Are written and directed by Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, a bilingual production, performed in Vietnamese and English, incorporating the traditions of Vietnam's rich cultural past, and Monster by Derek Nguyen and directed by Kaipo Schwab, an English language modern day detective drama.

ACT Announces 2011 New Play Award: South of Settling 3/12-13

Playwright Emily Schwend has been named ACT's 2011 New Play Award winner for her play South of Settling. Two FREE staged readings will be presented in ACT's Bullitt Cabaret on March 12 at 8:00 p.m. and March 13 at 2:00 p.m.

Attic Theater Company Presents THE ARGUMENT, Closes 3/13

The Attic Theater Company will present the NYC premier of Gregory Moss's play The Argument at DCTV, a landmark firehouse in downtown New York City. The show will be directed by Drama League and Williamstown Theater Festival Fellow, Kerry Whigham. Performances end March 13th at 8pm.
