MA's Playhouse presents: 'Ti Jean and His Brothers', a timeless contemporary Caribbean fairytale play from Nobel Prize author, Derek Walcott.

Luna Stage's 22nd Season features three world premieres and a revival of a lesser known work by Terrence McNally. Marin Theatre Company presents a Bay Area Children's Theatre World Premiere as part of MTC's Theater Series for Young Audiences by Ernie Nolan, based on the books by Eileen Christelow, and directed by Karen Altree Piemme. Five Little Monkeys will run from August 30 to September 7, 2014.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces a national call for monologue submissions inspired by the world-premiere theatrical event Our War, a commission of 25 American playwrights as part of The National Civil War Project.

The Playwrights Foundation's 37th Annual Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) will take place July 18-27, 2014 at the Thick House Theater in San Francisco.

To close its 47th Season, Marin Theatre Company will produce the West Coast premiere of Failure: A Love Story by the 'hugely talented Chicago writer' (Chicago Tribune) Philip Dawkins. Directed by MTC's artistic director Jasson Minadakis, this 'enchanted and enchanting' play about love and loss will feature five actors playing multiple characters, using puppets and playing live music both original (by MTC's frequent collaborator Chris Houston, a Berkeley-based composer and musician) and from the era of the play - 1920s Chicago.

FRESH PRODUCE'd provides a place where new theatrical work can ripen. It is a writer's theater dedicated to the support and development of contemporary American playwrights and Screenwriters, and to the production of their new work. It is led by committed and talented artists, harvested from Yale, Julliard, Circle in the Square Theatre School, Tisch, NYU and The New School for Drama.

Luna Stage celebrates the close of its 21st season and looks to the future with a year end benefit celebration on June 12th, 2014 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the theatre in West Orange.

Lee Chamberlin, an actress and playwright whose career spanned four decades on the stage, television and films, died of cancer at 76 on May 25, 2014. Her death was confirmed by her family.

Fetch Clay, Make Man by Will Power will make its West Coast premiere with Marin Theatre Company, directed by Derrick Sanders (Fences) and running August 14 - September 7, 2014, with an Opening Night slated for Tuesday, August 19. Tonight, May 15 at 8 pm, Fresh Produce'd will present three short new plays from three new writers.

Due to popular pre-sale demand, a year in advance, Aurora Theatre Company announces that it will extend Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning TALLEY'S FOLLY, the second fully staged production to be performed in the company's second stage performance space, Harry's UpStage. The company will add a sixth show to the existing performance weeks and will extend the original run dates an additional two weeks. Aurora Theatre Company pays homage to Lanford Wilson with "The Talley Trilogy."
