Lahti, Potts, Smits and Stott to Bicker as Broadway's New GOD OF CARNAGE Leads 11/17

Broadway's hottest comedy, the Tony Award-winning Best Play, GOD OF CARNAGE welcomes Emmy Award-winner Christine Lahti ('Chicago Hope') as ‘Veronica,' Emmy and Golden Globe-nominee Annie Potts ('Designing Women') as ‘Annette,' Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Jimmy Smits ('The West Wing') as ‘Alan,' and Olivier Award-nominee Ken Stott (original cast member of West End productions of God of Carnage and Art) as ‘Michael' to the cast on Tuesday, November 17. GOD OF CARNAGE plays at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street).

A Noise Within Presents NOISES OFF, Opens 11/14

A Noise Within (ANW) pokes a bit of fun at its own name with some theatrical humor when it stages the joyfully out-of control British farce NOISES OFF by MICHAEL FRAYN, opening Saturday, November 14 and closing Sunday, December 20, 2009 (previews begin November 7).

THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA Comes to Philadelphia Theatre Co. 11/13 - 12/6

The romance of Florence comes to life on stage as Philadelphia Theatre Company continues its 2009-2010 season with the hit Broadway musical The Light in the Piazza with book by Craig Lucas and music and lyrics by Adam Guettel on November 13 - December 6. Directed by Joe Calarco, the ensemble cast features Whitney Bashor, Sherri Edelen, Joe Guzman, Ken Krugman, Kyra Miller, Fran Prisco, Matthew Scott, and Maureen Torsney-Weir.

The production will play 5 performances only; Wednesday, October 21 through Sunday, October 25 at the Theresa Lang Theatre.

Dael Orlandersmith Brings STOOP STORIES To Chicago 9/12-10/11

Dael Orlandersmith takes Chicago audiences on an electrifying journey through the spirit and soul of Harlem in her explosive solo piece Stoop Stories at Goodman Theatre. Hailed a 'triumph' (Washington City Paper) in its world premiere at Washington, D.C.'s Studio Theatre this past spring, Stoop Stories comes to Chicago directed by Obie Award-winner Jo Bonney.

A Noise Within Announces RICHARD III As Opening Show Of 2009-2010 Season, Runs 10/3-12/12

A Noise Within (ANW), the critically acclaimed classical repertory theatre company hailed by critics as 'adventurous,' 'compelling and current,' 'ingenuity at work,' and 'what great theatre is all about,' launches its 2009-10 season with Shakespeare's spellbinding Richard III directed by ANW Co-Founder/Co-Artistic Director Geoff Elliott, opening Saturday, October 3 and closing Saturday, December 12, 2009 (previews begin Saturday, September 26), at the company's theatre in Glendale.
