ISO Announces Cast for ON BROADWAY WITH KANDER & EBB - Beth Leavel, Nick Adams, Ted Keegan & More!

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra today announced the cast for On Broadway with Kander & Ebb: Celebrating Chicago, Cabaret and All That Jazz, a world premiere pops production of music from legendary and award-winning composers, John Kander (b. 1927) and Fred Ebb (1928-2004). Created by ISO Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly, On Broadway with Kander & Ebb opens the Indianapolis Symphony's Printing Partners Pops Series for the 2013-2014 season on Friday andSaturday, Oct. 4 and 5, at the Hilbert Circle Theatre in downtown Indianapolis.

Houston Ballet Launches 44th Season with Four Premieres, 9/5

From September 5-15, 2013, Houston Ballet launches its 44th season with a mixed repertory program of premieres by emerging and established choreographers. Famed choreographer James Kudelka will create a new work for the company. British master and Houston Ballet's associate choreographer Christopher Bruce's Intimate Pages will have its Houston Ballet premiere. World premieres by Garrett Smith and Melissa Hough round out the program.

This exciting production shows how British music influenced and inspired generations of musicians and dancers. Known for its Ballet Russes heritage, PBDT branches out from their traditional roots to pay homage to the British musical experience with an explosive dance and music retrospective. Ballet San Jose's new Artistic Director, José Manuel Carreño, has announced details of the 2013-2014 season including Company premieres by choreographers including Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor, Ohad Naharin, Vicente Nebrada, Jorge Amarante, Igal Perry and Dwight Rhoden; two story ballets including Karen Gabay's The Nutcracker and Roland Petit's Carmen; plus the return of acclaimed and popular ballets by Jorma Elo and George Balanchine. American Repertory Ballet to Bring FALL KICK-OFF Shows to Rider University, 9/20-21

American Repertory Ballet will kick off its 2013-14 season at Rider University's Bart Luedeke Center Theater in Lawrenceville, NJ on September 20 and 21 at 7:30pm. ARB's Fall Kick-Off production features Artistic Director Douglas Martin's critically acclaimed Rite of Spring, Patrick Corbin's lyrical Caress, ARB Resident Choreographer Mary Barton's vibrant Five Men and a Concerto, and an excerpt from Martin's Romeo and Juliet. The program presents repertory appealing to a wide variety of tastes, showcasing the diverse range of American Repertory Ballet's dancers and choreographers.

Australian Ballet Presents CINDERELLA Beginning September 17

Respected dance critic Deborah Jones summed it up best when describing choreographer Alexei Ratmansky in The Australian: "There is no more interesting, influential or thoughtful choreographer working in classical ballet."

Pacific Northwest Ballet Presents AIR TWYLA, 9/27

Curtains up! AIR TWYLA propels Pacific Northwest Ballet into its new season with a trio of works by its first artist-in-residence, renowned choreographer Twyla Tharp. The program includes the world premiere of Waiting at the Station with a commissioned score by New Orleans music legend Allen Toussaint. Sharing the program with Waiting at the Station are the Scottish-inspired Brief Fling (a PNB premiere) and Tharp's homage to Ol' Blue Eyes and ballroom dance, the unforgettable Nine Sinatra Songs. AIR TWYLA runs for only seven performances, September 27 – October 6 at Seattle Center's Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. FALL FOR DANCE FESTIVAL Launches 9/16 at Delacorte Theatre

New York City Center will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of its Fall for Dance Festival with two FREE evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, hosted by The Public Theater, on September 16 and 17 at 8 p.m.(rain date, September 18).

Martha Graham Dance Co. Completes Fall for Dance Festival Lineup; to Perform 10/2-3

New York City Center is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Fall for Dance Festival with a very special season, beginning with two FREE evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, hosted by The Public Theater, on September 16 and 17 (rain date, September 18). The Festival will continue at City Center from September 25 - October 5 with performances by 20 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, including three new works from today's most exciting young choreographers, commissioned by New York City Center in celebration of the tenth anniversary. The Festival's many free pre-show events will include dance lessons and panels by choreographers, artists and dance educators. All tickets are $15 and will go on sale Sunday, September 8 at 11 a.m.

ABT's THE NUTCRACKER to Return to BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, Begin. 12/13

American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker will return to the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House for 12 performances beginning December 13, 2013, it was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. Tickets go on sale Monday, August 19, 2013 online, by phone and at the BAM box office.

American Repertory Ballet to Participate in Cranbury Day & Septemberfest

American Repertory Ballet and Princeton Ballet School will be participating in events throughout Central Jersey this fall, including in the towns of Cranbury, New Brunswick, and Hamilton. On September 7, ARB will participate in Cranbury Day on Main Street, and advanced Princeton Ballet School students will perform in the School's beautiful Cranbury studio. The following weekend, ARB will be at Hamilton's Septemberfest on September 15. Later in the month, on September 28 at 4:00pm, the company will be performing at New Brunswick High School as part of the New Brunswick Cultural Center's Hub City Sounds arts festival.

Jacob's Pillow Welcomes Jessica Lang Dance to Doris Duke Theatre, Now thru 8/11

From today, August 7-11 in the Doris Duke Theatre, Jacob's Pillow presents the highly anticipated return of Jessica Lang Dance, a contemporary ballet company led by Artistic Director and choreographer Jessica Lang. The company debuted at the Pillow during the 2012 Festival to rave reviews and sold-out performances. Jessica Lang Dance returns this season with five works, including a world premiere.

Tickets on Sale Today for Northrop Theatre's 2013-14 Dance Season

Northrop at the University of Minnesota announces single tickets go on-sale today, August 5 for its 2013-14 Northrop Season, which features world-class dance, including copresentations with The O'Shaughnessy at St. Catherine University's Women of Substance and Walker Art Center. Single tickets will be sold through each venue. Series packages continue to be on sale through Northrop.

American Repertory Ballet to Present 'Meet the Company' On Pointe Event, 9/13

American Repertory Ballet will be kicking off its monthly On Pointe Enrichment Series with their annual 'Meet the Company' event on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 12:00pm, noon, at Princeton Ballet School - 301 North Harrison Street (above McCaffrey's supermarket in the Princeton Shopping Center). On Pointe events are usually held at 5:15pm. This is a special lunch-hour On Pointe in light of the beginning of Yom Kippur the evening of September 13, 2013.

American Ballet Theatre to Visit Brisbane's Queensland Performing Arts Center in September

American Ballet Theatre will make a historic trip to Australia for performances exclusively at the Queensland Performing Arts Center (QPAC) in Brisbane, August 28 through September 7, 2014. ABT's first ever engagement on the continent will include two programs of ballets including Swan Lake and mixed repertory, it was announced today in Brisbane by QPAC Chief Executive John Kotzas. ABT's tour, exclusively in Brisbane, is part of QPAC's International Series, a joint initiative with Tourism & Events Queensland.
