American Ballet Theatre Launches YouTube Channel

American Ballet Theatre has launched the ABT YouTube Channel, under the channel name of "ABTBalletTheatre." Offering an in-depth and candid look at the Company, the ABT YouTube channel showcases current dancers in two or three minute vignettes. Taped segments explore experiences and points of view of ABT dancers, while adding to the experience of ABT performances with behind-the-scenes footage of rehearsals and day-to-day Company life. Videos featuring special events and Company activity will also be posted.

English National Ballet Presents the 2014-2015 Season, Featuring MODERN MASTERS, SWAN LAKE, and More

From the 10 - 15 March 2015 English National Ballet presents Modern Masters: Icons of 20th Century Choreography, a new triple bill at Sadler's Wells. The evening's programme includes works from two choreographers new to the Company's repertoire, William Forsythe's In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated and Spring and Fall by John Neumeier. The triple bill also includes Ji?í Kylián's Petite Mort, first performed by the Company in Ecstasy and Death in 2013.

SUBMISSIONS ONLY's Kate Wetherhead Stars in THE HEIDI CHRONICLES, Beginning Tonight at the Guthrie

The Guthrie Theater presents the first production on the Wurtele Thrust Stage in the 2014-2015 season, Wendy Wasserstein's Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Heidi Chronicles. Under the direction of 2014 Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman (Broadway's Violet, Chinglish, Well), The Heidi Chronicles will feature the talents of Kate Wetherhead, Ben Graney, Tracey Maloney and Zach Shaffer, as well as Sam Bardwell, Eleonore Dendy, Mo Perry and Stacia Rice.

New York City Center Kicks Off 11th Annual FALL FOR DANCE FESTIVAL Today

New York City Center's 11th annual Fall for Dance Festival will feature free performances in Central Park and 24 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, in six unique programs in September and October 2014. In keeping with the Festival's commitment to make dance accessible to everyone, the Festival will kick off with two FREE evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, in association with The Public Theater, today and tomorrow, September 12 and 13 (rain date, September 14) and will continue at City Center from October 8 - October 19 with all tickets at $15. The Festival's many free pre-show events will include dance lessons and panels by choreographers, artists and dance educators. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, September 14 at 11 a.m.

Houston Ballet Presents 'From Houston To The World' (September 18 – 28)

From September 18-28, 2014, Houston Ballet offers up its fall mixed repertory program titled From Houston to the World with ballets choreographed for Houston Ballet dancers. Finnish choreographer Jorma Elo brings wit and humor to the extreme virtuosity that he demands in ONE/end/ONE. Edwaard Liang's deeply spiritual ballet Murmuration also returns. Closing the program is Stanton Welch's vivid and exciting interpretation of the third act of Paquita, showcasing a breathtaking display of technique and classical skill. Houston Ballet will give six performances of From Houston to the World at Wortham Theater Center in downtown Houston. The Kansas City Ballet Announces New Artistic Staff and Company Members

Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney today announced the appointment of three new members of the artistic staff: Grace Holmes as the new Director of Kansas City Ballet School, Kristi Capps as the new Ballet Master and Anthony Krutzkamp as newly created position of Manager of KCB II. Carney also announced eleven new members of the Company, increasing the Company from 28 to 29 members for the 2014-2015 season. He also announced the appointment of four new KCB II dancers, which stands at six members. Carney also announced the creation of a Trainee Program with five students, two selected from Kansas City Ballet School.

Joffrey Ballet Introduces Three New Dancers to Company

CHICAGO (September 3, 2014) – Ashley Wheater, Artistic Director of The Joffrey Ballet, is pleased to announce the addition of three dancers to the Joffrey's international roster for the 2014-2015 season: Artur Babajanyan (Armenia), Edson Barbosa (Brazil) and Brooke Linford, a former Joffrey Academy of Dance Trainee (Alpine, Utah). The three new dancers officially began rehearsing with the company July 21.

ROLEX presents NEW YORK NEW YORK a helluva town - Career Transition For Dancers' 29th Anniversary Jubilee on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 7:00 pm at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (btwn. 6th & 7th Aves) NYC followed by dinner at The Grand Ballroom at The Hilton New York. Angela Lansbury will receive the 2014 Rolex Dance Award. The Rockette Alumnae and Karen Ziemba will perform "I Want To Be A Rockette." This special number was written by Alan Menken and Tom Eyen.

FPAC's 2015 Season to Include PETER PAN, THE NUTCRACKER & More

Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) launches its 24th season with grand opening performances in THE BLACK BOX, FPAC's new home and performance venue in downtown Franklin. A special kick-off weekend will introduce the theater, music and event space to the community. Anchoring a series of signature events, FPAC's annual Gala on Saturday evening, September 20, features a special, one-night-only performance by Tony® Award winner Beth Leavel and Broadway star Alexander Gemignani. Metropolitan Ballet Academy Alumnus Joins Next Generation Ballet as New Artist

Metropolitan Ballet Academy alumnus, Peter Weil, age 18, will join the Next Generation Ballet as a New Artist for the 2014 -2015 season, and as a former YAGP Medal winner, has been invited by Youth America Grand Prix to appear in the International Young Medal Winners Ballet Performances at the XIX Annual International Ballet Festival of Miami, on September 6th, 2014.

The Atlantic City Ballet Presents BALLET GOES BROADWAY This Weekend

What happens when you combine the disciplined artistry of ballet and Broadway's most beloved show stopping moments? You get a night of pure entertainment and an opportunity to see Broadway in a whole new way. Ballet Goes Broadway is AC Ballet's Artistic Director, Phyllis Papa's, new creation. Inspired by the Broadway shows she would see as a child, this ballet is made up of the music from the shows that moved Ms. Papa to have a career in the performing arts. This ballet also marks the premier of AC Ballet's Ensemble, a six piece instrumental group that will accompany the dancers.
