Alex Trebek & Florence Henderson to Host Creative Art EMMY AWARDS

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today that “Jeopardy!” game show icon, Alex Trebek and Florence Henderson, stage and television star of “Oklahoma” and “The Brady Bunch,” will host the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards on Friday, April 24, 2015.

American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Sacred Fools Theatre and More Among Hollywood Arts Council's 2015 Charlie Award Winners

Industry leaders who made significant contributions to the arts and culture of Hollywood were named recipients of the Hollywood Arts Council 29th Annual Charlie Awards. The awards ceremony, a fundraiser that supports arts programs for underserved children in the Hollywood area, will be held Friday, May 1 at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Honorees include Technicolor, Sunset Sound & Sound Factory, Roschen Van Cleve Architects, Emerson College Los Angeles, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Michael Kohn Gallery and Sacred Fools Theatre.

None Too Fragile's POSSUM DREAMS Comes to Theatre 54 Tonight

After a sold-out and critically acclaimed summer production on None Too Fragile's Akron stage, Ed Falco's Possum Dreams-directed by Sean Derry and starring Leighann Niles DeLorenzo and Andrew Narten-lands at Theatre 54 in New York for an eleven-performance run beginning tonight, March 18th.

Neil LaBute, Halley Feiffer and More to Address Censorship in PLAYWRIGHTS FOR A CAUSE This June

In the wake of the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris, the political controversy surrounding the release of The Interview, and continued suppression of plays, books, and art in American schools, libraries and museums, the battle for freedom of speech and expression is more essential than ever. Planet Connections Theatre Festivity will present an evening of world premiere plays by Erik Ehn, Halley Feiffer, Israel Horovitz and Neil LaBute addressing censorship in the arts in Playwrights for a Cause, to be held at 7:30pm on June 14, 2015 at the Sheen Center, located at 18 Bleecker Street.

Albuquerque Little Theatre Presents Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I, Now thru 3/22

THE KING AND I opens February 27 and runs through March 22. Performances will be at Albuquerque Little Theatre, 224 San Pasquale SW. Curtain times are Todays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. There is a special Thursday performance at 7:30pm on March 12. Tickets are $24 for general public, $22 for seniors, $18 for students and $12 for children. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

York Theatre Company Welcomes Michael Unger as New Associate Artistic Director

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, welcomes Michael Unger in his new role as Associate Artistic Director. He joins James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director, and Andrew Levine, Executive Director, in carrying out The York's mission.
