Be part of the Broadway and West End hit musical AMERICAN IDIOT by Green Day; upload your audition video to YouTube now until Wednesday, April 20, 10 p.m.

Following on from its critically acclaimed 2015 London run and 2016 UK Tour, Green Day's explosive Tony Award ® winning musical, American Idiot will be returning to it's London home at the Arts Theatre, for a strictly limited run from 8 July - 25 September 2016, with press night on Wednesday 13 July.

Green Day's American Idiot had the punk rock band's fans out in force for the band's rock opera - even if the staged version of the 2004 concept album was a little less than the sum of its parts.

The internationally award-winning musical Chicago will be the Christmas show at the New Alexandra Theatre this year, it was announced today.

As previously announced, double platinum selling artist Newton Faulkner joins the cast of Green Day's explosive Tony Award-winning musical, AMERICAN IDIOT, on its UK tour this spring. Newton will be taking on the role of Johnny from May 2016 after Matt Thorpe, who will open the role from tonight, 19 March at the Curve Theatre, Leicester until 7 May at the New Theatre, Oxford. Newton will be taking on the role of Johnny from May 2016 after Matt Thorpe, who will open the role from 19 March at the Curve Theatre, Leicester until 7 May at the New Theatre, Oxford.  One of the UK's finest contemporary singer-songwriters, Newton's unique style of guitar playing and soaring vocals have made him a worldwide success since he burst onto the music scene back in 2007. 

Acoustic power doesn't mean this guy can't rock. The Daily Mail writes that singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner will join the UK tour of AMERICAN IDIOT at the New Alexandra Theatre on May 10, taking over for Aaron Sidwell. The site also reports that the production is eyeing a return to the Arts Theatre this summer.

Following on from its hugely successful and critically acclaimed London run at the Arts Theatre, Leicester Square, Green Day's explosive, Tony Award winning Broadway musical American Idiot, will now be extending its UK tour into July 2016, with four more venues added, including the Spa Theatre, Bridlington (7-11 June), Theatre Royal, Nottingham (14-18 June), Empire Theatre, Liverpool (21-25 June) and the Grand Opera House, Belfast (28 June - 2 July).

 Exeter Northcott Theatre will produce a new adaptation of Harold Pinter's Betrayal which will mark artistic director Paul Jepson's directorial debut for the theatre.
