August Strindberg Repertory Theatre will present Strindberg's THE STORM, adapted and directed by Robert Greer, October 4 to 30 as part of an exploration of the author's final works. The piece deals with the marriage foibles of an elderly government minister. Strindberg named it Opus 1 of his 'Chamber Plays' and wrote it for his Intimate Theater in Stockholm, where it was produced in 1907-8. It will be performed in rotating repertory during the month of October with BURNT HOUSE, Opus 2 of the Chamber Plays, which is also adapted by Robert Greer but directed by Whitney Gail Aronson. Both productions are at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, where August Strindberg Rep is the resident company.

CROSS-EYED BEAR PRODUCTIONS has announced the world premiere production of Duncan Pflaster's THE UNDERPANTS GODOT. The limited four performance engagement will take place at the Secret Theatre (44-02 23rd St Long Island City, NYC, NY 11101-5000). Performances are tonight, August 18th at 7pm, Wednesday August 19th at 7pm, Friday August 28th at 9pm, and Saturday August 29th at 9pm. Tickets are on sale at http://unfringed2015.bpt.me/.

The world premiere of Fix Number Six, a comedy by Jerry Polner, will be presented beginning May 29, opening day of the 5th annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, New York's premier eco-friendly theatre festival. Directed by Michael Criscuolo and featuring actors, Fix Number Six tells of Jane, a travel agent whose career is going nowhere. Hounded by an idiot boss, she dreams of pursuing her true calling as an international spy. When her rich, lovesick customer wants to hire Jane to "fix" his life with whatever tawdry subterfuge is necessary, she jumps at the chance.
