MOM Will Return for Sixth Season

According to TV Guide, CBS has renewed Mom for a sixth season. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Allison Janney and Anna Faris were among the cast members notified about the renewal at the season five wrap party.

As previously announced, Patti LuPone will guest star in upcoming episode of MOM on CBS. LuPone will play Rita, the new owner of the building that is managed by Bonnie (Allison Janney). Rita is a bit of a live wire: Freshly divorced, she's either barking orders or sharing way too much about her personal life. The episode is set to air Thursday, April 26 (9:01-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

According to Deadline, Margot Robbie and her LuckyChap Entertainment (I, Tonya) is partnering with the Australian Broadcasting Company, Aussie production company Hoodlum (Secrets & Lies) and ABC Studios International on a new ten-part series, retelling the work of Shakespeare from female perspectives. The project, currently in development, will be produced in Australia, with filming expected to begin in 2018.

'Live with Kelly and Ryan' (3/5/18) Broadcasting live from the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center on Monday, March 5, the 2018 edition of 'Live's After Oscar Show' was the highest-rated single-day telecast this season of 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' in Households (3.0/10) in the 56 Metered Markets. In fact, the post-Oscars edition of 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' scored the show's top Household rating on any day since Ryan debuted as co-host in May - since Monday, 5/1/17. In addition, 'Live' tied its top-rated single-day telecast since the show's annual Halloween special in October among Women 25-54 (1.3/11) in the 25 LPM Markets - since Tuesday, 10/31/17. Funds raised during the legendary evening will be used to support MPTF in providing social services and financial assistance to the entertainment community, as well as it's renowned retirement community and innovative programs for seniors and those who care for them. The organization impacts thousands of people each year who have committed their lives to a career in entertainment. The annual event raised $5 million last night, totaling just over $80 million in the event's history.
