Following a sold-out 2013 debut at 54 Below, Tony Award nominee Euan Morton returns to the acclaimed Manhattan nightspot to launch his newest project, I (Heart) THE CARPENTERS. Backed by the newly-formed Downey CA Collective, Mr. Morton will perform songs made famous by the all-American jazz/pop duo Richard and Karen Carpenter. With songs from composers such as Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Paul Williams, Roger Nichols, Leon Russell, John Bettis and Richard Carpenter himself, I (Heart) THE CARPENTERS is fresh take - both extremely personal and totally universal - on mid-20th Century American pop genius, designed to be an emotional trip down memory lane for some and an exciting, memory-making first meeting for others. Eddie Redmayne is having a very good year. The 33-year old actor is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for playing physicist Stephen Hawking in THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING. In the film, Redmayne has been singled out for his sensitive portrayal of Hawking that goes from his younger days through the onslaught of the progressive motor neuron disease that binds him to a wheelchair.

The Public Theater announced today that George Brant's spellbinding, ripped-from-the-headlines play GROUNDED, with Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway, has been added to the 2014-15 downtown season. Directed by Academy Award nominee and two-time Tony Award winner Julie Taymor, GROUNDED marks the return to the Public Theater stage for Hathaway who played Viola in the 2009 Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night. GROUNDED will begin performances in the Anspacher Theater on Tuesday, April 7 and run through Sunday, May 17, with an official press opening on Thursday, April 23.

Almost Maine is one of the countries most produced plays, this February; Royal Family Productions (Katie Avebe, Mary Bernardi, Chris Henry and Andy Theodorou, Founders) will present the New York premiere of John Cariani's follow-up play LOVE / SICK. Directed by Chris Henry and featuring choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter, LOVE / SICK will begin performances on February 6 and open on February 9 through February 26, 2015 at Royal Family's new home in Times Square at Royal Family Performing Arts Space (145 West 46th St.).
