Ten clowns walk into a bar. This is not a joke. This is the premise of Adam Szymkowicz's new noir comedy "Clown Bar", brought to life at the Little Gem Saloon by New Orleans based independent theatre company, The NOLA Project. A script that truly bends genres, "Clown Bar" combines the melodramatic acting of classic film noir, the intensity and action of a Quentin Tarantino movie, and good ole' fashioned circus slapstick.

I love plays that make me think. This is a play that made me think. It made me think about all of the people, not only in my personal life, but also around the world who suffer from some form of mental illness. It's real. It exists. And it should not be ignored. ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST addresses mental illness head-on, and The Nola Project took the content and presented an absolutely stunning rendition.

21-year-old S. Alex Martin is entering the literary world with an ambitious outlook. His fourth novel, "Embassy," is Young Adult science-fiction and is currently available through Amazon.com. He is scheduling a book tour to high schools and libraries around York County, and hopes to expand from there.
'The best way to reach readers is to go to them,' Martin says. 'I'm taking an active stance, and that means talking directly to my target audience.'
"Embassy" is a story about Arman Lance, a boy who is determined to visit a planet across the galaxy and reunite with Ladia Purnell, whom he's in love with. But his determination becomes obsession, and Arman slips away from his friends and world. Now he has joined the Embassy Program to embark on an expedition to Ladia's planet. On this journey he must forge relationships with his new crew, and struggles to find balance in his life. "Embassy" is filled with futuristic sports, detailed worlds, and a simple life lesson: happiness is a choice.
Several readers have already reviewed "Embassy." Here's what they said:
''Embassy' drew me in with its memorable characters and spectacular imagery.' - Leah
'Some people live their lives through the motions of an everyday routine, working for the destination and not enjoying the journey... 'Embassy' teaches you to live life to the fullest. After all, you don't want to look back on life and say, 'Eh, it was okay.' - Nicole
