I am a longtime fan of Whoopi Goldberg with the Sister Act movies ranking as some of my all-time favorites. So, as you can imagine, I am thoroughly excited to again see the musical adaptation now playing at Long Island's Noel Ruiz Theatre at CM Performing Arts Center (CMPAC). This lively production, kicking off their 40th season, runs through March 25th at the Oakdale venue.

 The Johnny Mercer Foundation (JMF) has teamed up with  Kaufman Music Center for JMF's sixth consecutive year of the Accentuate the Positive program, which teaches elementary school students the art of songwriting and introduces them to The Great American Songbook. Broadway Method Academy, a musical theater program in downtown Fairfield, Connecticut opened the smash hit, Little Shop of Horrors. The non-profit organization's mission is connecting the stars of today with the stars of tomorrow, and this production welcomed to Broadway designers Ryan Howell, Weston G. Wetzel and Kaitie Adams.
