DMI Soundtracks has announced the immediate availability on iTunes of the New Broadway Cast Recording for Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy.  The recording was produced and engineered by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.  The CD is slated for release in June.

Today we are celebrating the mainstage musicals based on the films on Vincente Minnelli that have cropped up this season.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will open its 47th consecutive summer season with the Broadway favorite, Guys and Dolls, from June 11-21, 2015 at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452). Set in Damon Runyon's jubilant, shimmering New York City, this Tony Award-winning musical about gangsters, showgirls, and mission workers stars Olivier Award nominee Brent Barrett as Sky Masterson (Broadway's Chicago, PBS's Kiss Me, Kate) and opera singer Mara Bonde as Sarah Brown (The Boston Pops). Broadway veteran David Hugo (LES MISERABLES) returns to direct Frank Loesser's romantic comedy that demonstrates the great lengths to which a guy will go when he truly falls in love with a 'doll.' Reagle Music Theatre is the long-running regional theater company known for casting Broadway stars alongside regional talent. Vanessa Hudgens stopped by THE TALK, airing from New York City this week, to chat about her Broadway play 'Gigi.'

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts will welcome the national tour of Lerner & Loewe's Camelot to the Saint Paul stage tonight, May 12-17.

Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy, has been going strong at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street), and the cast has something new to celebrate- ensemble member Ashley Yeater just got a surprise prospal onstage! Happy Birthday Barbra Streisand! Streisand has appeared on Broadway in I CAN GET IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE and FUNNY GIRL, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award. Streisand won the 1968 Academy Award for Best Actress for the role in the film version of the musical. Her next two movies were also based on musicals, Jerry Herman's Hello, Dolly!, directed by Gene Kelly (1969), and Alan Jay Lerner's and Burton Lane's On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, directed by Vincente Minnelli (1970). Additionally, she has won two Academy Awards, eight Grammy Awards, one special Tony Award, five Emmy Awards including one Daytime Emmy, an American Film Institute award, a Peabody Award, and is one of the few entertainers who have won an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award.

Bill Hanney has announced the full lineup for the 2015 Summer Season at the historic Theatre By The Sea (TBTS). The four show subscription season will feature SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, MY FAIR LADY starring Charles Shaughnessy, Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID, and the Mel Brooks musical YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. The 2015 Children's Festival features 5 shows presented on Friday mornings for the youngest of arts lovers, and Camp Theatre By The Sea will perform LEGALLY BLONDE, JR.
