Andrew Lloyd Webber announced today the complete cast for School of Rock - The Musical, which will have its World Premiere on Broadway.  Based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same title, School of Rock will feature music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater, with a book by Julian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor (currently represented on Broadway by Les Miserables). Previews will begin on Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway), with an opening set for Sunday, December 6, 2015.

Before heading to Broadway this fall, School of Rock - THE MUSICAL rocked the Gramercy Theatre (127 E 23rd Street) for a brief residency, June 3rd through June 6th, with a public performance last night, June 9th. 2Y announces casting for Lyrics & Lyricists 2015, the 45th season of the acclaimed American Songbook series. Cady Huffman, Liz Callaway, Kate Baldwin, Peter Cincotti and Jason Danieley are among the performers interpreting the works of Stephen Sondheim; Irving Berlin; Sheldon Harnick; and such songwriters as Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Leonard Bernstein, who so eloquently illuminated New York City's essence in song. Mitzi Gaynor makes a special guest appearance for the show on Hollywood's Leading Ladies - only the fourth time the legendary entertainer has performed in New York City.

Jackie Burns (If/Then), Alan H. Green (Sister Act, NBC's 'Peter Pan Live') Lesli Margherita (Matilda), Alexandra Silber (Master Class), Jeremy Stolle (The Phantom of the Opera), and Tim Young (Next to Normal) have joined the cast of composer/lyricist Michael Mott's upcoming concert Where the Sky Ends Live in Concert.

NBC's PETER PAN LIVE, the network special from executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, will air on December 4. Preparing to sprinkle fairy dust across America, NBC presents a bold new LIVE television production of the classic Broadway musical that will gather friends, families and anyone who refuses to ever grow up. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the special will star Allison Williams, Christopher Walken, Christian Borle, Kelli O'Hara, Taylor Louderman and Alanna Saunders for the live production.

A reading of Harriet, a musical based on the life of Harriet Tubman, will be presented today, July 16, at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., and on Sunday, July 20 at 12 p.m. in The Studio Theatre at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street (between 9th Avenue & Dyer Avenue). Harriet is an official selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival.
