The film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS will hit theaters on June 20th. Directed by Clint Eastwood, JERSEY BOYS, written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, features the music and lyrics of Bob Gaudio & Bob Crewe. Just yesterday, the Angelo Galasso House at The Plaza (768 Fifth Avenue) hosted a special New York City screening of the new film, and BroadwayWorld was there for the big event. Richmond Triangle Players closes its season with the Sam Mendes revival of Kander and Ebb's CABARET, which has returned to Broadway for a limited engagement at Studio 54. While it would be a real treat to see Alan Cumming, Michelle Williams and company, the Triangle Players' production stands well on its own.

'Wolverine in tap shoes,' and far beyond, Hugh Jackman brought the bravado and belted with some dynamite divas as amiable emcee of the 2014 Tony Awards, while A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER was the big Best Musical winner of the evening. Plus, newly crowned Tony king Neil Patrick Harris got lucky in front of an audience of millions in full crazypants HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH drag, while Audra McDonald made history by winning her sixth statuette. Late in the week, Orlando Bloom, Barrett Foa, Jonathan Groff, T.I., LL COOL J, Samuel L. Jackson, Judith Light, Rosie O'Donnell and Patrick Wilson were added to the star-studded lineup on THE 68TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS®, live from Radio City Music Hall, Sunday, June 8 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/ delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

A bold company with a strong Jacob's Pillow history including five engagements since 2005, Trey McIntyre Project will make its final appearance as a fulltime dance ensemble June 25-29 in the Ted Shawn Theatre. Called "engaging and provocative" by Karen Campbell of The Boston Globe, Trey McIntyre's dances overflow with fresh intelligence, unabashed physicality, and spirit. TMP's Festival 2014 program features The Vinegar Works: Four Dances of Moral Instruction, a new work inspired by the surreal art and writings of Edward Gorey, and the East Coast premiere of Mercury Half-Life, set entirely to the music of legendary rock band Queen.

CABARET preparations are well underway for the 2014 Tony Awards ceremony this Sunday! Cues were set, entrances timed, and performances streamlined during rehearsals today, June 5, at Radio City Music Hall, and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there to capture interviews with the stars and creative teams. Before Broadway's biggest night on Sunday, June 8th, 44 productions will have opened on Broadway in the 2013-14 season. Of those productions, 12 were eligible for Best New Musical and 10 were eligible for Best New Play at the 68th Annual Tony Awards.

It's that time of year, and I can't help but wonder if your CD collection and iPod are Tonys ready. This Broadway season has some really interesting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at the very least pre-ordering).
