After opening to great acclaim, Thea Sharrock's production of Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys will complete its run at The Savoy Theatre on 28 July as previously announced. With a cast led by Danny DeVito and Richard Griffiths as the ageing vaudevillian team Willie Clark and Al Lewis, The Sunshine Boys began its limited West End run in April this year. Some New York critics panned Million Dollar Quartet for what they called a dearth of dramatic tension onstage, but it went on to receive a Tony nomination for Book of a Musical in 2010 anyway, and based on the overly passionate delivery of the sizzling tour artists, there's enough fire and fever to bring audiences to their feet and shakin' at the Pantages through July 1. The Guthrie Theater today announced the full cast and creative team for The Sunshine Boys-acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter Neil Simon's sidesplitting comedy. Directed by Gary Gisselman (A Christmas Carol, Lost in Yonkers), The Sunshine Boys will feature Guthrie favorites Raye Birk (Faith Healer, Third) and Peter Michael Goetz (1776, The Government Inspector) as Al Lewis and Willie Clark, respectively, a pair of crabby, retired vaudeville comedians persuaded to reunite after 11 years apart - despite the fact that they hate each other. When these seasoned stage partners are convinced to reunite for a CBS television comedy special, hilarity ensues. The New York Times called The Sunshine Boys "an evening that keeps you laughing and then leaves you surprisingly moved." The production also features a special cameo from renowned improvisational comedian and Brave New Workshop founder Dudley Riggs as Sketch Patient.

Acording to Deadline.com, Eddie Izzard is currently in final talks to star in and produce NBC's upcoming remake of the 1960's sitcom 'The Munsters'. The project, entitled MOCKINGBIRD LANE, is written by Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer. Izzard is the first actor who has been cast in the project.

As previously reported in October, Danny DeVito and Richard Griffiths will indeed star in Neil Simon's THE SUNSHINE BOYS, according to Baz Bamigboye for Daily Mail. The show will open in the West End in the end of April.
