'Bright Star' begins previews tonight, October 11, opens October 20, and runs through November 19, 2017 at the Ahmanson Theatre. Presented by Center Theatre Group, the Tony Award-nominated Best Musical, with music, lyrics and story by Grammy, Emmy and Oscar winner Steve Martin and Grammy winner Edie Brickell, will be directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Josh Rhodes. The Kennedy Center presents the New Adventures North American tour of Matthew Bourne's critically acclaimed production of The Red Shoes, October 10 to 15, 2017. The tour will continue to Blumenthal Performing Arts, Charlotte and City Center, New York; having already played at Ahmanson Theatre, Los Angeles.

The Music Center On Location announced the U.S. premiere of Akram Khan's Until the Lions, the retelling of an excerpt from the epic Sanskrit poem the Mahabarata through a synthesis of kathak -- the Indian classical dance form -- and contemporary dance.
