SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW is the creation of Russian-born Slava Poulin. Music director Isidro Infante (who performed with the real Cruz) leads a seven-piece band that accompanies Gathers and the cast in faithful live renditions of the Salsa Queen's repertoire, including 'La Bomba,' Celia's groundbreaking collaboration with Tito Puente which is credited with sparking the popularity of salsa music in the '70s, as well as 'Guantanamera,' 'Químbara,' 'Toro Mata,' 'La Vida es un Carnaval' and dozens more that became universal sensations.

The show was created by the team who brought us the record-breaking Dora the Explorer Live, which was seen by over 3 million people. The lead role of kids' favorite adventurer Diego is played by Jesse Carrion, who recently starred in the 2007 national touring production of Rent and the original play The Lockdown Club at the Stella Adler Theater in Los Angeles.
The current New York edition of Gerard Alessandrini's FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: Rude Awakening will take its Annual Spring Hiatus from Off-Broadway's 47th Street Theatre beginning Tuesday, March 25, 2008.
Bernadette Peters has been knockin' 'em dead with triple standing ovations on her recent concert dates. One of those ovations is for a song she wrote, both music and lyrics called 'Kramer's Song' which is a bonus in her upcoming book BROADWAY BARKS (with illustrations by Liz Murphy), coming out on April 28th.
