Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director, and The After Dinner Opera Company present two new American operatic musical adaptations from classical works, Seymour Barab's operatic parody Out the Window based upon Georges Feydeux's farce 'Par La Fenetre;' and Rappaccini's Daughter, based on Nathaniel Hawthorne's gothic short story, with libretto by Linsey Abrams and music by Michael Cohen. Lissa Moira directs. When we last saw our hero, Harry Houdini was trapped under the ice of the Mississippi River, a death-defying trick gone a bit off. HOUDINI, which follows the epic tales of the master escape artist as he emerges as the world's first bonafide superstar, also averaged averaged 1.5 million Adults 25-54 viewers and 1.2 million Adults 18-49 viewers in its9:00pm time period, according to Nielsen Fast Cable Ratings.

With a little bit of modern magic, a few of Harry Houdini's iconic posters have been recreated with Adrien Brody. These vintage posters were part of Houdini's key to worldwide fame, advertising his different performances and sensational stunts. These posters will be seen in HISTORY's upcoming two-night scripted miniseries, HOUDINI, premiering September 1 at 9 p.m.

Huntington Theatre Company announces that Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his breakout role as Theo Huxtable, Bill Cosby's son on "The Cosby Show," will play Dr. John Prentice in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner in the Huntington's season opener September 5 - October 5, 2014 at the BU Theatre / Avenue of the Arts. Complete casting will be announced at a later date. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, June 24, 2014.

Last night, (Wednesday, April 16) Academy Award-winner Adrien Brody stopped in for an intimate dinner with friends at Social House inside The Shops at Crystals. The highly-acclaimed actor, best known for his role in "The Pianist," arrived with his group just after 8:00 p.m. and took a seat in the main dining room. Brody and his party indulged in a number of specialty items such as the Citrus peel miso cod, Tempura lobster sushi roll and Social House's iconic Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi, which features a flavorsome combination of Calamansi soy sauce and garnish of cilantro.

Underwood's films include Something New, Deep Impact, Gattaca, and Rules of Engagement, and his television credits include 'Ironside,' 'In Treatment,' 'The New Adventures of Old Christine,' and 'Sex and the City.' Joining him and also making their Globe debuts are the previously announced Emmy Award winner Richard Thomas ('The Americans,' 'The Waltons') as Iago and Kristen Connolly ('House of Cards,' The Cabin in the Woods) as Desdemona.

The Old Globe today announced two of the stars of Shakespeare's classic tragedy Othello, the first show of the Globe's 2014 Summer Shakespeare Festival. Making their Globe debuts are Emmy Award-winner Richard Thomas ('The Americans,' 'The Waltons') as Iago and Kristen Connolly ('House of Cards,' The Cabin in the Woods) as Desdemona. Both artists continue collaborations with Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein that began in New York: Thomas starred in Edelstein's critically acclaimed production of Timon of Athens at The Public Theater in 2011, and Connolly in three Shakespeare plays that Edelstein helped produce at The Public. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
