The Drama League has announced the roster of special guest performers for its Centennial Gala, celebrating the organization's 100 years of service.  Honoring Golden Globe and three-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, the Centennial Gala will be held on Monday evening, November 2, 2015 at The Plaza (768 Fifth Avenue) in New York City, and supports The Drama League's educational initiatives for promising young artists.  Tickets are available by calling (212) 244-9494 or by visiting http://dramaleague.org/events/gala.

MCCC Gallery to Feature Local Artists in ART SERVED UP TRENTON STYLE, 10/13-29

The Gallery at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) presents 'Art Served Up Trenton Style,' an exhibition of works from the Trenton Artists Workshop Association (TAWA) and the SAGE Coalition. The show runs from Tuesday, Oct. 13 to Thursday, Oct. 29, with an opening reception to be held Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m.

WaterTower Theatre Announces Board Elections for 2015-2016

?WaterTower Theatre (WTT) has announced the election of Derek Blount as Chairman and Ben Cunningham as President of the WaterTower Theatre Board of Directors.  WTT also announced the election of a slate of Board Officers including Vice President Wade Owens, Secretary Stan Graner, and Treasurer Jimmy Niemann.

22Q Entertainment, has announced that Academy Award Nominee & Golden Globe Winner Kathleen Turner will be stepping in as director of the world premiere Off Broadway production WOULD YOU STILL LOVE ME IF… a love story that tackles the issue of gender identity. The production will also shift gears as Grammy Nominated Singer Deborah Cox has had to step down from her role due to increasing conflicts with the play's October performance schedule. Roya Shanks will take over the role for Ms. Cox and previews will begin on Saturday, September 26th at New World Stages. The official opening is set for Saturday, October 10th.

Highland Park Players to Present AVENUE Q, 10/16-25

Highland Park Players proudly present the laugh out loud Tony Award winning musical, Avenue Q, which is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart. Avenue Q will be performed at the Northbrook Theatre, 3323 Walters Avenue, from October 16th through October 25th. Performances are: October 16, 17, 22, 23, 24 at 8:00 pm, October 17, 24 at 4:00 pm and October 18, 25 at 2:00 pm.

Pollo Tropical' Soars To 12 DFW Locations

Less than 20 months after opening its first Texas restaurant in Addison, Pollo Tropical, the fast casual restaurant known for its citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken and authentic island-inspired sauces and sides, will expand its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to 12 locations this fall. Four upcoming DFW openings, including the company's first location within Dallas city limits on bustling Greenville Avenue, just south of Lovers Lane, will bring the statewide total to 23.

Children's Playhouse of Maryland's 2015-16 Season to Open with CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG

Children's Playhouse of Maryland, in residence at Community College of Baltimore County, Essex, kicks off its 2015-2016 season with a bang -- Ian Fleming's "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" to be exact!  The production will run weekends at 1 p.m. on Sept. 19, 20, 26, 27, and Oct. 3, 4 with an additional performance at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26. All Performances will be held in the Administration Building Lecture Hall, 7201 Rossville Blvd. The Sunday, Oct. 4, performance will be sign-language interpreted by students in the American Sign Language Certificate Program at CCBC Catonsville.  Tickets are $10 each and  can be purchased online at www.cpmarts.org or from the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS (2787) from Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Based on availability, tickets may be purchased at the door.
