?Theater J begins the 2016-2017 season with the regional premiere of the rollicking, engaging, and thoughtful comedy, The Last Schwartz, written by Lilly Award Winner Deborah Zoe Laufer. It plays at Theater J September 7 through October 2, 2016 and kicks off the first season selected by new Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr.

McCarter Theatre Center is proud to welcome 24 local community members who will make up the inaugural Community Ensemble for its production of A Christmas Carol.

Theater J will bring playwright Anna Ziegler back to DC with the insightful, wry drama, Another Way Home, which plays June 23 through July 17, 2016. Another Way Home, directed by Shirley Serotsky, follows the Nadelman parents (Rick Foucheux and Naomi Jacobson) at summer camp visiting day which quickly turns into a family emergency. Their son Joey (Chris Stinson), is nowhere to be found and they are left wondering - where has he gone, why is their marriage lacking, and what might have happened if they had taken a different path. Join us as we transform Theater J into Camp Kickapoo and discover a little bit more about the strangers we all live with - our family.

McCarter Theatre Center Artistic Director and Resident Playwright Emily Mann is pleased to announce the lineup for the upcoming 2016-2017 Theater Series.

Theater J, the nation's largest and most prominent Jewish theater, announces its 2016-2017 season, the first season chosen by new Theater J Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr. This lineup of seven diverse plays features Tony Award-winning plays and playwrights, Washington area premieres, and a stellar lineup of directors and artists. The season's plays promise delight, joy, and a thoughtful examination and exploration of pressing ideas about morality, ethics, the role of faith in this country, and the changing face of Jewish identity in this country. Theater J's new season features the work of Deborah Zoe Laufer, Lucas Hnath, Michael Frayn, Sarah Treem, Neil Simon, and Arthur Miller.

The regional premiere of the 2014 award-winning drama, The Body of An American, written by Guggenheim Fellow Dan O'Brien, plays at Theater J April 27 through May 22, 2016. This bold, radically theatrical, and poetic true story is the winner of the inaugural Edward M. Kennedy Prize, the Horton Foote Prize for Outstanding New American Play, and the PEN Center USA Award for Drama.

Theater J is pleased to announce the hire of its new Associate Producer, Jonathan David Martin. He will work closely with Theater J Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr and Managing Director Rebecca Ende in all aspects of the theater's theatrical programming and education initiatives.

Agatha Christie's classic who-done-it, THE MOUSETRAP, which opened March 11 at the McCarter Theatre Centre in Princeton, is splendid. It would be hard for anyone to create a better 'mousetrap' than this performance directed by Adam Immerwahr.

Mayhem and suspicion abound with McCarter Theatre's new production of Agatha Christie's seminal thriller THE MOUSETRAP, directed by Adam Immerwahr. The production runs now through March 27 on the Matthews Stage. ? Theater J announces that its 2016 Annual Benefit will celebrate the arrival of Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr and honor Marion Ein Lewin. An event unlike any other at Theater J, this party to benefit the nation's most distinctive and progressive Jewish theater will provide an exclusive look at Immerwahr's first season as artistic director, which begins in September 2016. During the event, Adam and a team of Theater J's favorite artists will announce the 2016-2017 Season. Scenes from the upcoming season will be performed by actors including, Joshua Adams (The Sisters Rosensweig and The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide…), Kimberly Gilbert (Life Sucks and The Religion Thing), Naomi Jacobson (Life Sucks and The Disputation), Erika Rose (Falling Out of Time and In Darfur), Michael Russotto (Falling Out of Time and The Sisters Rosensweig), and others.

? The world premiere adaptation of the 2014 Israeli novel, Falling Out of Time, written by esteemed Israeli author David Grossman, plays at Theater J March 17 through April 17, 2016.

Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap is a master class in murder/mystery. Called "The cleverest murder mystery of British theatre" by The Daily Telegraph, the world's longest-running play (currently in its 64rd season on the West End) contains all the trimmings and trappings of the perfect stage thriller.

The gulf between what's said and what isn't is at the heart of the sweet and whimsical comedy The Language Archive by Julia Cho, next up at Bristol Riverside Theatre on January 26-February 14.  Directed by Adam Immerwahr, the ensemble cast features Keith Baker, Irungu Mutu, Jo Twiss, Tiffany Villarin, and Julianna Zinkel.

The McCarter Theatre Center's production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol has become a welcome holiday treat for families across the region. This heartwarming and powerfully honest musical adaptation of Dickens' classic novel is a wonderful way to honor tradition while experiencing the joys and warmth of a holiday favorite. A Christmas Carol runs from Dec. 4 through Dec. 27 on the Matthews Stage.
