Aaron Tveit left the Tony-nominated musical Next to Normal on January 4 and the role of Gabe is now being performed by Kyle Dean Massey. Massey previously played the role during Tveit's summer absence from June - September, while he was starring in Catch Me If You Can.

Two of Broadway's brightest up-and-coming stars, Jennifer Damiano and Adam Chanler-Berat, will take their turn in the spotlight at Joe's Pub on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 as part of Sh-K-Boom & Ghostlight Records' ongoing concert series. The popular pair currently star as Natalie and Henry in the Tony-winning musical Next to Normal at Broadway's Booth Theatre. The 9:30pm concert will feature the young talents sharing their musical inspirations through duets and solo performances of some of the songs that made them fall in love with music.

The Tony Award winning musical Next to Normal set a new box office record at the Booth Theatre (222 W. 45th Street) for the week ending January 3, 2010, grossing $550,409 over nine performances.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the writers for the Songwriters Showcase, which will be Co-hosted by David Zippel & Dee Hoty as well as additional casting for the eight musicals in the 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley, currently starring in Broadway's NEXT TO NORMAL, had her caricature unveiled at the world famous Sardi's Restaurant on March 3rd. Ripley's likeness joined the ranks of Broadway royalty who have been honored with a caricature on the famous walls of Sardi's.
