Theatre 20 is a brand new theatre group launching in Toronto in just two days - and BWW is thrilled to announce that we have just learned that Colm Wilkinson will be returning to his home on the Toronto stage and joining the ranks of those already announced to be part of the group. The critically acclaimed and hugely successful Toronto production of ASSASSINS just announced a two week extension with performances until February 13th, 2011. BWW was on hand to speak to two of the very talented cast members, and today brings you an interview with Paul McQuillan,who plays the first Assassin - John Wilkes Booth.
Last year's production of ASSASSINS ended up being one of the hottest tickets in town, virtually impossible to even get a ticket once word spread about how good the show was. Birdland Theatre and Talk is Free Theatre are staging it again this year, with a few casting changes, and director Adam Brazier spoke to BWW about the reasons for doing the show again, Sondheim, and what he thinks about the dark nature of the production.

Paula Brancati, Lauren Collins, Wendy Crewson, Cynthia Dale, Andrea Martin, and Louise Pitre are officially set to be the first cast of the Toronto production of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE. As in the initial New York staging of the play by Nora and Delia Ephron, the production will feature a company of six that rotates in four-week cycles. The next cast will be announced in the next upcoming weeks.
Broadway's Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn) will be leading a workshop presentation of the new musical, LOULOU THE ACROBAT, on July 17 and July 18 at the The Banff Centre's Kinnear Centre for Innovation and Creativity in Canada. Directed by Kelly Robinson, ACROBAT has music by Steve Mackinnon, Marc Jordan and Amy Sky and a book by Quincy Long. Ian Eisendrath musical directs. Presentations on both days will take place at 2:00pm.
