Plays & Players, Center City Philadelphia's longest continually operated theater at 1714 Delancey Place, will present the world premiere of Early in the Mourning, running November 5 - November 22 in the 3rd Floor Skinner Studio.

The Horton Foote Festival will honor critically acclaimed playwright Craig Wright as the 2009 recipient of the Horton Foote Excellence in American Playwriting Award, according to notes on the Horton Foote Festival website. Amongst the events taking place during the festival weekend will be readings of Wright's plays ‘Grace' and ‘The Pavilion', academic panel discussions of his work, and a tribute to Horton Foote.

West Coast Ensemble is thrilled to announce that the third show of their 2009 season, the critically-acclaimed, West Coast Premiere of Anita Bryant Died for Your Sins, written by Brian Christopher Williams and directed by Richard Israel (Big, Floyd Collins) is extending through Sunday, November 1 at The El Centro Theatre, 800 N.
