Round House Theatre Opens YOUNG ROBIN HOOD World Premiere Tonight

Round House Theatre offers swashbuckling fun for the entire family this holiday season with the world premiere of Young Robin Hood by Jon Klein, which runs November 28 thru December 30. Derek Goldman directs this stirring new take on the legendary adventure story. Opening night is tonight, December 3, 2012.

Steven Epp, Sarah Agnew and More Star in Guthrie's THE SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS, Now thru 1/20

The Guthrie Theater presents Yale Repertory Theatre's production of The Servant of Two Masters. Adapted by Constance Congdon from a translation of Carlo Goldoni by Christina Sibul, this comedy features Steven Epp (Guthrie: A Christmas Carol, The Caretaker; Theatre de la Jeune Lune: actor, writer, director, co-artistic director 1983-2008) as the wily servant Truffaldino and Guthrie favorite Sarah Agnew (Guthrie: Time Stands Still, The 39 Steps; Theatre de la Jeune Lune company member 1995-2001) as the strong-willed Beatrice in the story of a servant scheming to fill his pockets and his stomach by serving two masters at once.

Gaby Hoffmann and Greg Mullavey Featured in THE LAST SEDER at Theater Three, Now thru 12/20

Rosalind Productions Inc. will present the Off-Broadway premiere of Jennifer Maisel's The Last Seder. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at Theater Three (311 West 43rd Street) begins tonight, December 1st and continues through December 20th only. Opening Night is set for Tuesday December 4th (7pm). The show runs 90 minutes without an intermission.

Jump For Joy Productions Brings THE DRUNKEN CITY to Workshop Theatre, Now thru 12/16

Jump For Joy Productions presents Adam Bock’s comedy The Drunken City, directed by Misti B. Wills (In Search of Euphoria, New World Stages). The Drunken City will play a limited engagement at The WorkShop Theatre’s Mainstage (312 West 36th Street, between 8th and 9th Ave.). Performances begin tonight, November 30th (8 p.m.) and continue through Sunday December 16th (2 p.m.).

Works by Will Eno, Sarah Ruhl and More Set for Actors Theatre of Louisville's 37th Humana Festival; Lineup Announced!

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein have announced the lineup of plays, playwrights and directors for the 37th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays at Actors Theatre of Louisville, running February 27-April 7, 2013. The Festival, underwritten for the 33rd consecutive year by the Louisville-based Humana Foundation, will feature fully-produced world premieres by Jeff Augustin, Mallery Avidon, Will Eno, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and Sam Marks; a suite of three one-act plays by Rinne Groff, Lucas Hnath and Anne Washburn commissioned by Actors Theatre and performed by the Acting Apprentice Company; and an evening of ten-minute plays featuring a new play by Sarah Ruhl, among others yet to be announced.
