Tom Hooper's upcoming big-screen adaptation of 'Les Miserables,' starring Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Anne Hathaway as Fantine and a slew of other big-name stars, was previously set for a theatrical release on December 14. Now according to Variety, after 'The Great Gatsby' and 'Life of Pi' were pushed back, the release of 'Les Miserables' has been postponed until Christams Day- December 25. Universal plans to use the new gap to 'take advantage of holiday crowds.'

The Actors Fund's 2nd annual CelebriTEE Golf & Tennis Outing on July 9, 2012, was held at the historic Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly, New Jersey, and raised more than $50,000. In attendance were Golf Chair Peter Gallagher and his daughter Kathryn, who both wowed guests with a few songs, as well as Tennis Chair Liz Callaway, Norm Lewis, Aaron Tveit and more. As first reported exclusively by BroadwayWorld, ANASTASIA - A New Musical is being brought to the stage in a 29-hour reading, which entered rehearsals last week, based on the hit 1997 animated motion picture from Fox Animation Studios. The musical, which is in its early stages of development, will feature the five songs from the film along with fifteen new songs written for the stage. Joining the creative team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty will be bookwriter Terrence McNally and music director Ben Cohn. Joining the previously announced cast is Kelli Barrett in the title role of Anya (Anastasia). Patrick Page once again dons the role of the villain, Vladimir. Angela Lansbury will reprise her role from the film as the Empress Maria, and Aaron Tveit will play Dimitri.

The show only runs through Saturday night, so you better make it snappy if you want to catch his bravura performance. Coming up, he'll be performing at The First Night Honors on Sunday, September 2, at The Troutt Theatre at Belmont University, and in late September he'll be appearing in the MTSU Theatre production of Guys and Dolls.
