As BroadwayWorld just reported, Bay Street Theater & Dreamworks Theatricals will present a new musical adaptation of THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, featuring book by Philip LaZebnik (Mulan, Pocahontas), and music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, The Hunchback of Notre Dame), in a premiere concert reading as part of Bay Street's 24th Annual Summer Gala on July 11. Aaron Lazar and Norm Lewis to Lead Reading of Stephen Schwartz's THE PRINCE OF EGYPT This Summer

Bay Street Theater & Dreamworks Theatricals present THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, featuring book by Philip LaZebnik (writer of Mulan, Pocahontas), and music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked, Pippin, Godspell) in a premiere concert reading of the first act. This new stage adaptation of the epic film will grace the stage at Sag Harbor Center for the Arts on July 11, 2015 at 6 p.m. as part of Bay Street's 24th Annual Summer Gala.

Today we continue the 5 SONGS BY... series by talking to 2015 Tony Award nominee and world renowned Grammy Award-winning recording artist Sting all about his score for the recent mainstage musical THE LAST SHIP, for which he composed music and lyrics. Besides describing the impetus behind the show itself and many of the standout musical selections, Sting also spotlights his creative process in crafting the at turns propulsive, jaunty and delicately romantic score for the new musical as well as sheds some light on material that did not make it into the final version of the show, directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello.

Though no one in Aaron Lazar's family had professionally pursued show business before he came along, he sees his entire career as being heavily influenced by his musically talented grandparents and great-grandparents. So in order to give back to the special seniors in his personal and professional life, Lazar has become involved with JASA (Jewish Association Serving the Aging), a non-profit organization. Lazar opened up to me about the impact the seniors in his life have had on him, his favorite memories from working with legends like Angela Lansbury and Elaine Stritch, why he wanted to join JASA, and more. Dan Fogler, Ana Gasteyer, Aaron Lazar & More Will Join Jonathan Groff in Encores! Off-Center's A NEW BRAIN

Jenni Barber, Quentin Earl Darrington, Bradley Dean, Dan Fogler, Ana Gasteyer, Josh Lamon, Aaron Lazar, Alyse Alan Louis and Rema Webb will join the previously announced Jonathan Groff in the Encores! Off-Center production of William Finn and James Lapine's A New Brain, running June 24 - 27, 2015. The production will be directed by James Lapine, with choreography by Josh Prince.

The event benefits the Exchange's summer program, The Orchard Project, which incubates and accelerates innovative new theatrical work from around the world.

Arts For All is thrilled to announce that Steve Rosen is hosting our Annual Benefit Cabaret on April 13th at 42 West. On Broadway, Steve originated the roles of Sir Belvedere, et al in Spamalot, Harlan Honn, et. al. in The Farnsworth Invention; and played Benny Southstreet in the 2009 revival of Guys & Dolls.
