The Fox Cities P.A.C. Goes Blonde April 20-25

The first national tour of Legally Blonde The Musical will take the stage April 20-25, 2010 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Sorority star Elle Woods doesn't take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone more 'serious,' Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style.

Classic Stage Company Extends VENUS IN FUR Through 3/28

Classic Stage Company (Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. Jenen) announced today that their critically-acclaimed production of VENUS IN FUR, a new play by David Ives, directed by Walter Bobbie, featuring Nina Arianda and Wes Bentley, will extend its limited engagement yet again, this time by an additional three weeks through Sunday, March 28 at CSC (136 East 13th Street).

Tony Award-winning actor Michael Rupert, who originated the role of Professor Callahan on Broadway, will be reprising the role on the LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL tour. Ken Land, who has played the morally dubious lawyer since the tour launched in September 2008, has joined the Broadway revival of Promises, Promises. Rupert's first performance in Denver will be Wednesday, February 10, 2010.

New York Times Features VENUS IN FUR's Wes Bentley

The New York Times today features the newly reborn career of Wes Bentley, star of Classic Stage Company's current production of VENUS IN FUR. Bentley starred in the 1999 hit film 'American Beauty' at the age of 21 and has since taken a hiatus from the entertainment. Bentley's return to acting has come in the form of an off-Broadway play, a role he hopes will put him back in the spotlight.

RIALTO CHATTER: Diana DeGarmo & Ace Young to Join New HAIR Cast on Broadway?

As HAIR readies for its Broadway makeover and London premiere, rumors are beginning to swirl as to which current cast members will be settling in across the pond and which new faces will be gracing the Broadway production. The newest reports out suggest that American Idol alumni Ace Young (season 5's seventh runner up) and Diana DeGarmo (season 3 runner up) are among the new picks for the Broadway replacement cast. No official announcement has been made by the production, although it is expected that casting announcements for London and New York are imminent, as the new Broadway performers go into rehearsal in the coming weeks.

AVENUE Q Plays The Morrison Center, 2/8

Broadway in Boise Welcomes 'Avenue Q' as part of the 2009/2010 Season. The show will be performed from February 8 to 10 at the Morrison Center.
