The Board of Directors and Producing Artistic Director, David E. Leidholdt, are proud to announce that they are once again expanding their theatre education program to include a new venture; Teen Performing Arts Academy (TPAA), this will be in addition to their already successful Kids Summer Theatre Camps, Spring School Show, and Saturday Children's Show.

Everyone's favorite bear-that chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff-comes to life on stage when Columbia Children's Theatre (CCT) presents Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS this weekend, February 5-8 with shows Today and Friday at 7:00 pm, Saturday at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, and Sunday at 3:00 pm. General admission tickets are $10 regular admission and $8 for active military and seniors with proper ID. Advance ticket purchases are strongly recommended, and may be purchased securely on-line at columbiachildrenstheatre.com. All shows take place at Columbia Children's Theatre on the second floor of Richland Mall, 3400 Forest Drive in Forest Acres. CCT's 2015 YouTheatre season is sponsored by Staymobile.

The Old Globe teams with the University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program to present William Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre, directed by Ray Chambers and running tonight, November 15 - November 23 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program presentation of William Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre, directed by Ray Chambers and running November 15 - November 23 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Beautifully illustrated and told in a captivating narrative, this delightful book about a girl, a bear and dandelion wishes is an ode to a child's vibrant imagination and the magic of stories.

According to Empire Online, Brett Ratner's RatPac Entertainment have recently bought the rights to Lindsay Mattick and Sophie Blackall's upcoming book entitled 'Finding Winnie', and his producing colleagues are currently looking for filmmakers to develop the project.

Yesterday evening at five, Playhouse on the Square hosted a lively reception. Amid refreshments and trivia questions with prizes, Jackie Nichols unveiled the 2014-2015 Season. It's going to be grand!

Winnie-the-Pooh is analogous with childhood. With his friend Piglet and the other inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood, Pooh discovers how things work. But the first real introduction this reader had to the work of A.A. Milne--whose birthday is tomorrow--was through his poem 'Disobedience.'

Taproot Theatre presents Le Club Noel, an original Christmas play by Seattle playwrights and performers Candace and Sam Vance. Step into a 1930's Parisian Cabaret and fall under the spell of Le Club Noel, where the band is hot and the songs sung by a beautiful chanteuse. Together they create music to awaken love in the coldest of hearts. With money scarce, and WWII on the horizon, this close-knit band of musicians reminds us that Christmas has always been a time for miracles. Associate Artistic Director Karen Lund directs Le Club Noel which opens on November 29 and runs through December 28 with low-price previews on November 22 and 23 and a pay-what-you-can performance on November 27. Early bird pricing is available for performances on December 4 and 5.
