It was announced today that in November 2010, The National Theatre, one of the world's most prestigious venues, will produce FELA!, this season's most heralded new musical on Broadway. Performances at The National's Olivier Theatre are slated to begin Saturday, November 6, with an official Opening Night set for Tuesday, November 16, 2010.

Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Eric McCormack (Will & Grace, Who Is Clark Rockefeller?) has signed up to play the lead role in TNT's PERCEPTION (working title), a dramatic pilot from executive producer Kenneth Biller (Smallville, Legend of the Seeker) and co-executive producer Mike Sussman (Star Trek: Voyager). This marks McCormack's third project with TNT after previously starring in the 2009 series Trust Me and co-producing the 2007 pilot Imperfect Union. He will also act as a producer on PERCEPTION.

Tony Award nominee Sahr Nguajah played his final performance as Fela Anikulapo-Kuti on October 10, and Kevin Mambo is taking over as the title character. Mambo, who has won two Daytime Emmy Awards for his appearances on GUiding Light, has been alternating the role with Nguajah since it opened last year. To celebrate its inaugural fall season at Lincoln Center, New York City Ballet will present a special one-time-only gala performance on Thursday, October 7 at the David H. Koch Theater. The highlight of the evening is the New York premiere of a new ballet by NYCB Principal Dancer Benjamin Millepied set to a commissioned score from Pulitzer-Prize winning composer David Lang. The program will also include George Balanchine's Tarantella and an excerpt from Western Symphony, as well as Jerome Robbins' I'm Old Fashioned.

New York City Center's seventh annual Fall for Dance Festival, running September 28 - October 9, will showcase 20 national and international companies and choreographers. With ticket prices remaining at $10 for all seats, a night of dance is more affordable than a night at the movies. The festival will include world and U.S. premieres, and will feature several companies making their first U.S. appearances.

Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF) will commence its 2010-11 season in the company's revolutionary home at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare, with a Fall Repertory that features William Shakespeare's psychological thriller, Othello and Oscar Wilde's witty comedy, An Ideal Husband. The productions will be performed in rotating repertory September 24 - October 31, 2010. The Fall Repertory features GLTF's resident artistic company of actors performing two alternating plays on the same stage over six weeks. Risa Brainin will direct Othello and Sari Ketter will direct An Ideal Husband.
