Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for Ian Bruce's Groundswell, a psychological drama set in South Africa. Directed by Kyle Donnelly, Groundswell will run in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre March 12 - April 17. Preview performances run March 12 - March 16. Access Hollywood reports today that Willow Smith is hopeful that Brad Pitt will play the role of 'Daddy Warbucks' in the upcoming remake of Annie, in which she will star. Pitt has not yet responded to the appeal. As reported yesterday, Deadline.com revealed that GLEE creator Ryan Murphy is in talks to direct the Annie remake, produced by Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jay-Z and partners, starring the Smith's youngest, Willow.

The year 2011 is off to an ambitions start with numberous NYC galleries introducing new artists and art shows within the first two weeks of January. Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education, although not a traditional gallery, is also joining the trend by ringing the new year with 'Superheroes', an art show curated by Wirth Art Advisory. The show will be open to the public from January 21st to March 2nd, with a special opening reception on January 20th from 6-8pm.
