Rare Terra Theatre celebrates its return to the Chicago theatre scene with the world premiere of A Beautiful Spell at the Royal George Gallery, 1641 N. Halsted.

The Theatre School at DePaul University's Showcase Series of Contemporary Plays and Classics presents MAYDAY MAYDAY TUESDAY, by Carlos Murillo, and directed by Dexter Bullard. This play closes Sunday, May 22, 2011, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre.

Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced today additional casting for the Nikos Stage productions for the 2011 Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF), the company's 57th season and the first under Ms. Gersten's leadership.

Yellow Face, the nationally-acclaimed play by Tony Award winning playwright David Henry Hwang, makes its Chicago debut at Silk Road Theatre Project (SRTP), produced in association with the Goodman Theatre. In celebration of its 50 year anniversary, the critically-acclaimed Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? will open on Broadway Saturday, October 13, 2012-exactly 50 years to the date after the play's original Broadway opening on Saturday, October 13, 1962. Directed by Pam MacKinnon, the Broadway production will feature the original Steppenwolf cast: ensemble members Tracy Letts and Amy Morton with Carrie Coon and Madison Dirks and will open at a Shubert Theatre TBA.

The production closes April 10, 2011 at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park.
