CAPA's 2009 Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 39th anniversary with a lineup of classics, cult favorites, and most beloved films. The 2009 series will run July 17 - August 30, at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.), and is made possible through the generous support of National City, now a part of PNC.
To commemorate the Shubert Theatre Box Office opening for the new Broadway musical MEMPHIS there was festive special performances by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan, the Cast of MEMPHIS, and VH1 Save the Music Foundation student keyboard ensemble from Jersey City's MS 41. on Wednesday, August 26th at 12pm in Shubert Alley.

Phantom Audio will transform their large Chelsea loft into an art gallery - Phantom Gallery - for four days in September, and will present an exhibit of artist Don Florence's celebrity portraits entitled ACTORS, AUTHORS, OTHERS. Phantom Gallery is located at 48 West 25th Street, which is between 5th and 6th Avenues on the 10th Floor, and the exhibit ACTORS, AUTHORS, OTHERS will be held from September 24th through September 27th and will benefit the Playwrights Realm Theater Company.

Featuring painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and photography, the Members' Exhibit demonstrates a diverse selection from some of our most talented members. The exhibit which is juried by Stefano Catalani and is curated by Bellevue Arts Museum is set to run from August 14 - September 5. An opening night reception will be held on August 13 from 6:00-8:30pm.
