Tayyba brings to theater management over fifteen years of experience in business and technology transformation program management in the education, financial and energy sectors. She is also a fiction writer, and her work has been anthologized and appears in several literary journals.

With Next Iteration’s first production of ReadFest Houston in 2015, Tayyba managed the funding, outreach, and front-of-house for a unique-to-Houston theatrical festival involving 6 theater companies. With NITC’s broader season of underrepresented voices and diverse artists, Tayyba is thrilled to combine her creative vision with her business experience to bring an exciting new contribution to the Houston theater scene. Tayyba is particularly driven by the NITC goal of broadening affordable access to bold, new and experimental theater for Houstonians.
